"Conscientious, knowledgeable, found very cheap house insurance for us"

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, for house insurance at any rate I've found Peacock very good for two different Landlord's insurance policies.

We have a house that's slightly difficult to insure because one of its flats is unoccupied and its postcode appears to have subsidence against it in the normal national database that the web comparison sites use (though our house is far from those with subsidence .) Our existing insurer vastly increased the premium when one flat became unoccupied and more again when we increased the rebuilding cost. I could only find one quote with web comparisons, which disappeared with the unoccupied flat. Another broker could do nothing. Peacock were the only ones who could find a reasonably priced policy.

Not merely reasonable... but really cheap. James, who I dealt with, was really knowledgeable, worked hard and got the good quote, and was very efficient and polite about getting the terms right. There was an extra admin fee in this case of £50 but that was more than earnt.

Full marks. £400 instead of £1800.

Nice to deal with a broker that understands Motor trade Insurance. I normally have to pay more for those people who want to drive any car but are not in the trade and increase the premium for real MT businesses.Go and buy a multi-car policy instead!

This company most be shut down. Any way I rise complain against them to ombudsmen. Who ever not happy with them should seek advise from ombudsmen

have a massive policy and cant stand there awful customer service and slow update of mid, constant attacking of our credibility for no reason.

i will not be renewing with them even if they come in cheapest again.

Quick to take your money reluctant to give you any back out of £160 policy only gave back £49 after two months and were charged £20 for giving us our money back oh and this will take upto eight weeks!!!! Theives .very poor communication and made cancelling very hard.would not recommend avoid!!

Me and my mum recently took out a motor trade insurance policy with peacock insurance services,they quoted £1150 for the year so we accepted and paid half up front £577,we sent all relevant paperwork in I.e driving licence details etc that they required,after 3 weeks received an email saying that the phone number my mum gave them pointed to a different name on facebook (maiden name) and cancelled the policy,not only did they cancell the policy but they also worked out to the penny that 3 weeks insurance cost me a total of £577 including all there fees and charges etc,this company are the biggest con merchants I've ever ever used,they are rude and very unhelpful,don't waste your money with these clowns go to a reputable company,the only reason I've given them 1 star is because it won't let me give them a minus 10.DISCRACEFUL COMPANY AVOID,AVOID ,AVOID.
