Whilst the furniture was fab, Delivery although promptly arrived on Time as scheduled for 4pm was a bit shabby boxes of our furniture were wet and dented and were told by people delivering that it was a very wet day and so they got wet loading into van and then as we had paid for items to be placed into our upstairs bedroom my husband had to assist in firstly how to get items upstairs and help get said items upstairs just glad I didn’t pay out for them to put items together 🙄

"Broken Sofa in Three Places."

I wonder if there is a reason that Oak Furniture Land is not registered with the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman. ?

My Evie Sofa has developed three structural defects/breaks in under three years since delivery when a sofa is generally accepted to last between 7 and 12/15 years or so. I phoned OFl who wouldn't help as it was out of warranty. I've written to them about the quality of the product under the sale of goods act and of it possibly not being fit for purpose but no reply so far.

The heaviest member of the family is 12st and we are not at an age where we jump on furniture.

As they are not members of the ombudsman service it makes it difficult and costly to pursue. Fortunately we have legal practitioners in the family so that is a consideration once I have had the sofa independently inspected should OFl not engage with me.

Hopefully Oak Furniture Land as a professional organisation will sort this out to uphold its reputation and I would prefer not to engage in a long drawn out process.
