my experience today in pet mania was exceptional i was so happy with the friendly lady nikki who was on today made us feel so welcome her service was amazing she was a lovely girl sold us the products we were looking for and a smile on her face felt very welcoming will continue to shop there now thanks to her service

"Online customer service is non existent"

I ordered 2 items before Christmas and only one arrived. I emailed them on 23rd December asking if the other was arriving separately or would I be refunded, and I was told it could be resent - perfect. Unfortunately it never arrived (again). 4 emails, one voicemail, and (as of today) one logged complaint on their system and they haven't responded to me. All I want is a refund. Their online customer service is clearly non existent.

Such a long waiting time for the fish tank to be delivered. Constantly ringing for an update. Arrived about 3 and a half weeks after order was put in. Very helpful guy in the online order enquirys.

"I have been a regular customer at…"

I have been a regular customer at Petmania Sligo for many years and have always enjoyed my visits due to the enthusiastic, kind, and helpful nature of the staff. However, during my most recent visit, I noticed a significant change in the atmosphere. The staff appeared uneasy and on edge, particularly when the manager was nearby. Having built a strong relationship with the team since the store first opened, it is disheartening to see them treated poorly in such a wonderful store. I am writing this review in the hope that the appropriate person will address this situation and ensure the team continues to feel supported and valued.

"I purchased 'hypoallergenic' food from…"

Petmania received my return but has yet to refund me


I purchased 'hypoallergenic' food from Petmania for my dog, who became violently ill after eating it and had to be taken to the emergency clinic. This was an unusual reaction, so I contacted Petmania to inquire about potential contamination of the product. They asked me to send over the vet's notes, which I did. After several back-and-forth emails, they arranged for a courier to pick up the food. I waited for the first half of the day, as they couldn’t provide a specific pick-up time.

Weeks passed without any updates regarding the case or a refund. I followed up and was told they had been very busy, but they promised to get back to me. After more weeks of no response, I contacted them again, only to be informed that the person I had been dealing with no longer worked there.

Months later, I reached out to PayPal to open a case, only to find out that I had missed the 30-day window; I still opened the case, but was told it would be a more difficult and complicated process. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Ultimately, I paid for a product that I do not have.

Ultimately, I feel scammed and will never again do business with Petmania!

"Abysmal customer service"

Abysmal customer service. Ordered a 10kg bag dog food on 13th of january. Got an email on 16th saying order compete and that it had been shipped (no tracking number). 10 days later and still no sign of the food. In the meantime have had to buy two smaller bags of the food to tide us over until it arrives. Sent an email on 22nd of January to customer care and still haven’t received a reply. I called the customer care line and it rang out to voicemail. Have left a message and awaiting a reply.

I notice their website now has a message saying expect delays due to Storm Eowyn… wonder what the excuse was before the storm as I have been waiting since long before storm eowyn for a simple order to arrive. We have been shopping in petmania since we got our pup 6 months ago and the in store staff in Santry have always been very helpful - its a damn shame the online store is not fit for purpose.

Absolute joke. Avoid ordering online at all costs.

I ordered from Petmania weeks ago. I sent emails and left messages on their online portal and voicemails on their online ordering line, and had no response. However, when I got through to their customer services they were extremely helpful and sorted everything out, so alls well that ends well!

"Poor Communication"

Ordered on the 5th. Was given a partial refund for the order but heard nothing about the rest of it. I have contacted customer service twice and have yet to hear back from them. Won't be ordering again
