"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY..."

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY...

I would give them 0 star if I could...

This is the most unprofessional company that I have dealt with. Ordered transparent chair mats (hard) worth £89.00 as per the photo on the website. However, when I received the mats, they were opaque and in a roll form and very hard to use, which was completely different!!!

When I sent them e-mail about it, they were not helpful at all. They didn't understand that the wrong product we received than the one on the website (photo was of the different mat).

They wanted me to send the item back to Germany!!! Now why do I have to send the item to Germany, particularly when I received the parcel from the UK?
I asked if they have any collection option for returning of the item, they said £16.50 for this service. Isn't it unfair that the wrong item was displayed as a photograph than the one I received!!!

It took me nearly 3 weeks of back and forth e-mail, without solution. Ultimately I will have to send them item and will need to pay for it, regardless it's their fault!!! I would never buy from this company again.

Gutted, I really wish to complain to the higher consumer authority about this company.

"Awful quality products and even worse customer service"

As with many of the other reviewers, I have purchased a product in good faith and wished that I hadn't. After just over a month the mat started cracking, leaving sharp shards of plastic which are dangerous to me but also my children.

The response from customer service was to ship the mat to Germany (hang on didn't I buy this from Floor Mats UK?) at my own cost (which laughably is more expensive than the mat itself).

Avoid unless you want to waste your money on a substandard product as you will never see it again!

"Another scam victim"

Like so many other contributors, I have been scammed by Floor Mats UK. The mat I ordered developed cracks after 3 weeks, and the company told me I had to send the 120cm x 90 cm mat back to Germany. The carriers that delivered it (GLS/Parcelforce) would not accept a package of this size and other carriers charged more than the cost of the mat. The company advertises that'We are proud to stock the UK's largest selection of office chair mats...' but when I offered to return the mat to the sito of this collection I received no reply. Clearly a scam. AVOID.

"Cracked after 3 weeks"

Sadly my mat has cracked in several places after only 3 weeks. They never answer emails or phone lines despite claiming to get back within 4 hours.

"AVOID at all costs!!! This is a massive scam!!!"

Oh, my heart sinks when I look at the reviews! I have had the exact experience as everyone else!!

My brand new carpet protector mat cracked in under 3 weeks! Told to send to Germany for inspection at my own cost yet I bought from Floor Mat UK. Back and forth with customer service and they are holding their position that I need to send to Germany.

This was my last email to them.
No, your company has a cra@ppy customer service approach. You don't sell sub-standard products from a UK entity, which break or fail less than a month in, then force that customer to send that broken product to Germany at their own expense and time which does not warrant sending it based on the value of the product and for your company to have the discretion on whether you believe the product did not meet standards. It is actually an extremely devious approach as not many clients will read the fine print that when you sell sub-standard products from a UK entity, you have to send them Germany for inspection. You make it very difficult and this is one of the most unethical approach but well done on ensuring the company does not have to reimburse clients for the sub-standard products it willingly peddles.

"Avoid at all costs - Poor products and service"

£50 mat started cracking in 3 weeks. Customer Service (should read customer disservice) requested me to post it back to Germany at my own expense (approx £23) so they could check it out with no guarantee that they would do anything. Wish I read all the latest reviews before purchase. Avoid this company at all costs!!

"Read the reviews we all have had the same BAD experience."

As with all the previous reviews:
* mat cracked in less than two weeks;
* 10% discount offered to keep the mat, we did not take it;
* the matt was useless within 4 weeks so we wanted our money back;
* they wanted us to send the matt back to GERMANY not the UK;
* I had no way to find out the name of the CEO for this company to write to him/her directly or any directors in the UK;
* they stopped replying to emails once I told them the matt was ready for collection which they should arrange together with someone to pack it as it will shutter into pieces if I try to roll it the same way that it was received;
* wrote a review in their website which was never published;
* they do not answer the phone they put you on hold until you get fed up and hang up;
* keep your money, save both your money and your time.
UPDATE:
I filed a dispute With my credit card provided and I have been refunded the money £49.95. But I am still furious that this company carries on taking our money.
I have checked the positive reviews:
* only 4 of those up to date (17/10/2020) are from this year 2020;
* the rest are from 2018 backwards and are mainly INVITE, i.e. they are customers who have been invited to write a report, as I understand it.
* there are 11 plus pages of BAD Reviews from 2020 plus more from previous years. Everyone of them hIghlighting more or less the same.

If you have read all this review: do not bother getting your matt from this company, Unless you don’t mind throwing your money away

"Why didn't I come here first to check…"

Went via Paypal to try and get money back as all within the 30days which entitles to full refund under UK rights. Floor Mats didn't give any actual replies. They offered £5, I refused, then offered £25, refused that as well. Principle here, the product was faulty and not fit for purpose.
Since; Paypal have denied my claim (auto closed) saying I had altered the product since receiving it.
What? Where has that come from? Cannot re-open case and no responses from paypal on their message service as to what I have supposed to have done, and who said that, Floor Mats?
Paypal being as useless as Floor mats uk who have basically robbed me of £50. The mat is in about 12 pieces now, completely fell apart and ready for tip :(

£50 for carpet mat and just 3 weeks in sat on chair and mat collapsed under the wheel from 5 star seat cracking and breaking through. Another crack appeared when i moved back on seat.
I have emailed them but looking at reports here I feel this will not be a good outcome. I will look to refer to paypal if they fail too accept return/refund. They are obviously a deceitful company as their own site reviews are all 4/5 start yet the review I sent never appeared, funny that hey.....
Avoid and go elsewhere.

"Heavy duty apparently!!"

Heavy duty apparently!!! 2 weeks shattered on carpet ... emailed and was offered 16% back !!! £4.80!! For an item that was useless and failed to do what it’s supposed to do and be .... total misrepresentation of any item and product ... failed to meet minimum standards expected ... customer service non existent... totally not not fit for purpose and customer service the same ... Arrived late with zero communication I had to do all the chasing ..... !! Avoid at every cost ...!!! Make sure you do a search on all review platforms ... people even taking this company to court for selling items not fit for purpose... don’t just take my word for it!!!

"Totally rubbish product they cracked in a few weeks"

Totally rubbish product they cracked within weeks yet cost an awful lot. Now they want me to pay to return it (which under consumer law is expected and I get that ) but seriously , pay to pack and return a big floor mat is not that easy nor of course cheap. Sell rubbish and let the customer have to deal with it . Won’t spend the money returning It and for sure will never use this company again.
