"Morons working in this pharmacy who do not think of the patient and offer no solution"

I placed an order for Imodium Instants for my wife who has been suffering from IBS (Diarrhea predominant) since 2018. She spends 6-7 hours in the bathroom each day and has been doing it for the past 6 years now. She has Loperamid capsules prescribed as repeat medicine by her GP yet its the imodium brand that gives her the best respite from her IBS symptoms.

We have ordered Imodium via Weldricks many times without any issue but lately they have hired some oversmart people who started asking questions why does my wife need so much imodium. We have requested my wife's GP plenty of times if they can prescribe the Imodium instants & caplets on a repeat private prescription but the GPs in this country have a habit of never thinking out of the box to help a patient with their medical issues and rather stick to their rule book and make the patient's life a living hell. To top it, we then have these pharmacist making it more difficult instead of offering a solution.

I will use the word "morons" because that is the apt word to describe the over enthusiastic pharmacist at the Weldricks. They checked how many Imodiums my wife orders each month and they refused to give her any more Imodium. They asked us to reach out to the GP to get a prescription for Imodium which our NHS GP isnt willing to do. I asked Wedlricks if they can do a private prescription for Imodium and they said they cannot do it. The phone conversation just went to and fro
and it became clear that these morons do not understand the medical condition of an individual and are too dumb to think of the welfare of any patient unless their rule book says so. I called them an "idiot" over the phone because they deserved it. They disconnected th call, cancelled the order and deactivated the account and the money was refunded after few days.

After this incident, we again reached out to my wife's GP and told him how this pharmacy refused to give her Imodium and we demanded that he writes her a private prescription where we can buy the quantity of Imodium she needs for the full price so that pharmacies like these cannot act the way this one did and provides the medication without applying their own brains. However, once again the GPs of this country do not think of what is best for the patient but stick to their rule book. They once again said that Imodium is a private brand and they cannot prescribe it and they cannot even write a private prescription. They offered to change the loperamide capsule repeat prescription to tablets which is not what we want. No wonder the medical situation in this country is such a mess where no one listens to what the patients are going through - neither the GP nor these pharmacies and none of them is willing to offer a solution that works for the patient. What an absolute disgrace to the medical profession. They worry more about themselves and their own benefit rather than what benefits the patient.

After a very unhelpful response from customer services earlier today I posted a review that documented my dissatisfaction. 3hrs later we got a call saying the problem had been sorted out and our goods are en route.
So the company did either respond to the negative review or they reconsidered how unhelpful the initial interaction was. Either way I appreciate that they took prompt action to put things right so overall I remain a satisfied customer.

ive used weldricks a couple of times...easy to order ..items arrived very quickly....great prices...easier and as cheap as going to the chemist, have used other online pharmacys that never ever showed up and didnt get refund, well done weldricks

I ordered back pain patches for £100. I received a parcel today with 2 metal cups in it. Which is not my order. Phone number in the email doesn't exist. Found another number on the Internet. Rang that number. Nobody answered. Sent and email. The response was, we have delivered your parcel today. Attaching a picture. Yes a parcel was delivered today. But it contained 2 cheap metal cups and not my order. This is conning the customer. I am going to contact the credit card provider and tell them what has happened.

I live in a village in Doncaster called Cantley, Weldricks is my local pharmacy. There are a few people who always help, but a couple how really try to help.

There is a lady called Julie, and a lady called Steph, they make an effort to help me and I thanks them for that.

I have ADHD and becuase of the med shortage it's like a juggling contest each month, but Julie and Steph make it a little less crappy.

This company is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with , they are efficient , so helpful and go the extra mile to help . Everyone I spoke with was exceptionally well informed and responding swiftly to questions I felt really confident that they would deliver , which they did !

I have always been sceptical about buying medication on the internet. Unfortunately, the dispensary at the doctors and the chemist in the village are unable to source medication for me that does not contain cron/maize starch, which I have a really bad reaction to. Thankfully, the medication that I needed is something you can supply because yours uses potato starch. which I don't have an allergic reaction to. I was not only sceptical but reluctant to order... however, it couldn't have been easier, and a totally stress free experience and very prompt delivery too. I would not hesitate to use Weldricks Pharmacy again, and will because I have a painful degenerative condition that requires medication. Thank you also for your email, it is always good to know that there is help out there if I need it. I would highly recommend anyone to use Weldricks Pharmacy.
