This is supposed to be a review of an order. It was great. But I want to mention that besides the Premier SS I also have a Premier DC. I want to add a vibrato bar to it. I emailed D' Angelico with a Q what would be best fit. A guy named James replied almost immediately from D'Angelico and gave me the info I needed. We traded several emails. Very fast and helpful. I told him the seriously it was the fastest I ever heard from a company via email.

"The best travel sized acoustic guitar"

I recently purchased a new Utica Mahogany to use as a travel guitar and for playing on the couch, front porch or on camping trips lying in the hammock.

Far exceeded my expectations and the sound, finish, price and playability are all outstanding. Came with a perfect set up, and intonation above the 12th fret is amazingly accurate (usually an issue on such short scale guitars). I tried other small travel acoustics from Baby Taylor , GS Mini, Martin Jr D, Yamaha JR pre quarantine and they were either too tinny and thin sounding, or too large in dimensions for my needs.

The Utica to me with solid top, bone nut and saddle, nitro finish is the best sounding, playing and feeling guitar and is half to a third the price of those others.

This is a keeper for life. Thank you.

Played great right out of the box. Machine heads are good,stays in tune. Preamp and under saddle pickup sound better than I thought they would. It’s a lightweight, solid guitar and I play it everyday.
