"Honestly really gross food"

The food we had from Cook a couple of years ago was decent and we decided to get some for Vday as well as 3 desserts to try out since we were sick of ordering in.

We got the duck and pear parcels for a starter and lasagna for a main, also Macaroni cheese to have in the freezer which I’m really regretting. The lasagna had a whopping 2 pasta sheets, filled with paste-like white sauce and gristly bits of mince. As we had nothing else to have for dinner I finished about a third before I had to put it down because it made me feel queasy. Greasy and hurt my stomach, I ended up getting takeout.

The desserts were 2 hot chocolate puddings, a lemon tart and 2 mango & passionfruit cheesecake pots. The first was okay, though my wife said it had a phlegm-like quality, sort of pub-like, and filled me up as I waited for my takeout to arrive.

The next night we tried the cheesecake which reminded me of something I once had in hospital, and the lemon tart had an aftertaste of.. I don’t know, lemon lollipops and lard? I actually haven’t had to rinse my mouth like that in a long time. We had a tiny teaspoon each and tossed it in the trash.

I’m sure someone could chalk it up to shrinkflation and my spoiled stomach, but we wont be ordering from Cook again. Worst investment of the year so far.

Since we had a baby it's really no time to cook but we do love fresh, homemade food. So, Cook is just a wonderful solution! P. S. Their apple and berry crumble desert is particularly divine!

We have always enjoyed your meals, but had the Chicken & Leek Pie, very disappointing, all we could taste was the potato topping, not even a hint of Leek or Chicken

I ordered the luxury valentine meal for two.
Three cheese souffle starter was delicious I served it with a green salad with apple & walnut. Delicious.
Beef Wellington, again delicious
Served with Dolphaine potatoes, trio of green vegatables & red cabbage, again delicious
And dessert berry mousse. Lovely and lite . We normally go out for a Valentine's meal but due to me having hip surgery we decided to stay home Cooks meal are very good value. We have had a few meals. Our daughter in law bought us a voucher.
