I’ve looked many times and ChipEx but always purchased the manufacturer’s touch-up paint. However I decided to give it a try, and am very impressed; and wished I had done a long time ago! The colour match is perfect and the kit gives excellent results.

"Chips disappeared quicker than crackling at a hog roast!"

I purchased a second hand bmw and once the new owner goggles had worn off I noticed a multitude of stone chips and deep scratches in the paint. After some searching I decided to try chipex and I couldn't believe the results after just one application! It was a really simple process to follow and the results were much better than I expected. I will give a second application to some particularly deep chips but I can't recommend this product enough 10 out of 10!

Only had the car just under a month and noticed the dreaded stone chips while cleaning it, so decided to try Chipex as it popped up on my google search and it had some good reviews. Was easy enough to order just put your Reg plate in and job done.. Ordered it 13/7/23 and received it today the 17th, fast shipping fair play, couldn't wait to get the chips sorted so checked colour against the car and the match was almost 100%. application was easy enough if you follow the instructions or watch YouTube. Well recommend this product and its backed up with a colour match guarantee. One very happy customer..

The touch up kit that I bought had everything needed to do the minor chip repairs on my Audi.
The colour match was excellent.
The price is comparable to other companies for a better product in my opinion having used others before.
I will definitely be using them again.

Only one thing was that the tube box was open when delivered,

May I suggest some sellotape to keep lid on .

"Worth a go."

I had smart repair cover on my new Audi and used it for several stone chips, the smart repair done was bad, not level etc.

I tried another standard colour match paint pen, but little was acheived.

I did not want to go over the top with sanding etc as the damage was on the bonnet and I could make things worse.

I bought the chipex paint repair kit as a last resort and tried doing the repair myself.  I can still see the repair but it's the best I expect you can get without a panel respray, it's up to my standards and they I beleive are fairly high.

I would say the trick is to use the blender a drop at a time on the supplied cloth, wiping flat accross the repaired area with minimum presure and very small amounts of blender. Is the way to go. Too much blender or apply presure or use wrong cloth and you will simply wipe away all the paint you have just applied.

I am impressed anough to write this review.

"Easy to order - superior product"

Easy to order. Absolutely perfect color match even though it was a tricky color (Misano metallic on an Alfa Romeo Giulia).

I followed the description thoroughly espacially for the big chips and how to get to the best result. And the result is amazing.

I spend 3 hours doing it right and it is virtually almost impossible to see, or feel, if you don't know it.

I have used the car manufactures own paint earlier. This is superior to any standard repair kit from the car manufactorer (primarily BMW).

I will now order a kit for my BMW as well.

"Great match on a tricky metallic blue"

I recently used this product to touch up a metallic blue MG after finding a door dent on the passenger's side after a supermarket visit. The dent had gone through to the metal and I was worried about rusting.

I tried a couple of other (cheaper) touch up kits before getting one from Chipex, and the colour match was certainly the best and closest from chipex.

Instructions in the chipex kit were straightforward, and everything needed came in the kit. I added up the paint levels gradually and I'm really pleased with the result. There is lots of paint leftover as well, I just hope it keeps well in case someone dings the other door.

"No miracle cure."

No good on deep stone chips even if its still very small..ideal for light and small surface chips.
Paint comes out of deeper chips when you rub on blending lotion.
Very disappointed..
Cleverly marketed but isn't the miracle cure..
