I kept seeing adverts for this company on my Facebook feed and I loved the idea of a touch in paint that did not require a separate lacquer coat and offered the possibility of a speedy repair.
I have a 33 year old 944, that I enjoy driving and as such it does pick up stone chips, general road rash and sadly the odd carpark scuff.
In the past I have purchased touch in paint from a local automotive paint supplier and the colour match has always been excellent, but the downside has been the need to use an aerosol lacquer.
I placed my order with Chipex and the delivery quickly arrived with DHL and it was a few days before I had time to try it out. On the delivery note the paint was correctly identified as blue and the VIN number info matched that of my car. I was a little surprised when I opened the paint and saw that it was black, but having used white emulsion that goes on pink, I thought this must be some clever technology, I was wrong the paint was the wrong colour.
I called Chipex and spoke to Eric, who was apologetic and said they would send a replacement. This arrived two days later, with a totally different paint code to the first one and the original delivery note. Although this was blue, it was a totally different shade. Again I called the company, I could not talk to Krystyna, who had been dealing with the matter, but I was assured she would call me back, which she didn't. When I was able to pick up my emails later in the day she had e-mailed and asked if I would give the company another chance to get things right, which I, with hindsight foolishly, agreed to.
When the replacement arrived this morning it bore an identical code to the one that didn't match and sure enough when I compared the two samples side by side they were the same colour.
I am afraid to say that, in my opinion, the customer service from this company is shocking. There have been delays in dealing with things and there has been absolutely no pro-active communication from the company regarding the attempts at getting things right. In addition either Royal Mail or Chipex have not told the truth about when tracked packages have been despatched.
Having worked in customer facing roles for the last thirty years in sales for local, national and international companies, I know important it is to deal with issues swiftly and effectively, before they become a problem.
Sadly, Chipex allowed this situation to become a problem and I dearly wish I could leave a zero star feedback.

I put it on a quick delivery and unfortunatly it took lonher than expected. I watches the videos on line and did it the same but i just cant get the finish they do. Perhaps it is me but tried several times. I am sure it works for some people but not for me

"Colour mis-match"
Despite the suggestions that the colour matching would be perfect, It is clearly not in my case. The colour was NOT a perfect match, and the chips which were addressed, can be clearly seen.
I appreciate that there is a statement in the instructions that states that a check should be carried out in an obscure area, but the colour is not even close.

Used Chipex for the first time today and am amazed by the results. I have a metalic/pearlescent red car and I find it difficult to see where the chips were. What a great product

"Best touch up kit I’ve ever used."
Bought a touch up kit for my 2013 Cayenne which had heavy “Road Rash” on the front bumper. Kit is so easy to use, the blending solution works wonders. And the bumper is honestly like night and day in comparison. Best £40 I’ve spent in a long time. So easy to use, especially on a darker car. Actually highlights how poor a previous owners attempts at touch ups were.
I’ve used many different touch up pens, paint sticks etc over the years, but this Chipex system is next level. Even for an amateur auto DIY’r.
Great instruction and customer service and support has been superb.
Will definitely be buying again, and have had a few friends from work inspect the repairs and ones already ordered himself a kit today.

Very poor customer service & value - for such an overpriced product I expected a lot better.
Don't waste your money - a bottle of touch up paint can be purchased for a quater of the price of the poor value kits from Chipex.

"Chipex has exceeded my expectations"
Chipex has exceeded my expectations. Even with my lack of hand/eye coordination and artistry skills I’m so happy with the results. The kit contains everything you need, with clear foolproof instructions and the colour match is spot on. My Audi TT had a fair amount of road rash and some pretty deep chips, which probably needed a complete re spray. After using Chipex, they are barely visible. Highly recommended
