"Buyer Beware"

I filled out their application but seeing the interest rate was over 800 percent did not finalize my loan. However they deposited money in my account. Now I'm in a quandary trying to find any documentation of why they authorized the payment. I think they are scandalous and criminal. Don't give them any information. I'm going to have to work with my bank now.

Well, shoot after reading all the HORRIBLE REVIEWS, I will definitely take my business elsewhere! Jesus, being in Management, I wonder if management looks at the reviews and does anything about it because after reading, I have a bad taste in my mouth for Check City and I have never even been there!!!! Do better Check City and stop taking advantage of people because they are in a financial hardship!

DO NOT do business with Check City, yes, I took out a small loan, fell into a hardship, so they file charges to ganish my pay, they came to my apartment and served papers to someone living in my home, not me (not the person on the loan), no signature, no nothing, now they are demanding 25% more than my child support. So be careful they will strong arm you to get what they want and have no care for you or your families well-being.

Went there and was assisted by Andrea at your Craig/Jones office. She is a pleasant and professional employee. This was my best loan experience. It was a quick transaction, I was out in no time. Thanks to her!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! after collecting so much personal and financial information about me they denied a $255 loan to me. I let them into my bank account via online link so they could confirm over $8,000 in deposits for 3 consecutive months and I also supplied them with paystubs for my job that I receive a paycheck. My other income is from my cleaning business which is paid to me by cash or via zelle. Those deposits they were able to see. But because they did not see me deposit my checks on payday they claimed they could not verify my income. UH HELLO! MAYBE I HAD ENOUGH MONEY IN THAT ACCOUNT AT THE TIME (WHICH YOU COULD EASILY SEE) THAT I MAY HAVE CASHED MY CHECK AND DONE SOMETHING ELSE WITH IT! They just want to collect your information for what purpose I can not say! SCANDELOUS!

I’ve been with Check City for some time now. I have NEVER had any problems with their customer service. Today I had to deal with their collections department on an internal software problem that Check City had.
I spoke to Thomas T. And he is the Assistant Collections Manager. He was super professional and really looking out for his companies interest, while still being polite to me. At first he saw something different and let me know a loan was due early, but it wasn’t. A software glitch caused a mistake. Being professional as he is he had sent an email to his other department, which I had advised let me know it was their software.
After receiving conformation that it was indeed Check City”s software he politely helped me resolve it.

Buy that man a coke a cola. Great job Thomas. Thank you for not hard balling me on this. Thank you for listening and verifying. I am grateful. So I will continue to use Check City.

"Advertised as a Payday loan. Runs Credit Check"

I feel like I just got fished for personal information. I realize that my credit is not where it needs to be right now. This is why I thought I was applying for a PAYDAY loan. Not a personal loan. I apply and give them all of my personal information. Back account information, check assuming that I was applying for a payday loan. Only to find out the next day that they ran a credit check. When they advertise the loan, it simply states that you need a government, ID, proof of income, and a Bank Statement. In which I provided all of that. Nowhere did it state that they were going to run a credit check.

Check City is underhanded and does some unscrupulous business in this community. I have used them for a few years and paid all loans in full and on time. Recently, I got a title loan with them, missed 2 payments, they repossessed my truck with no phone call or warning. Angela enjoys being in a little position of power enough to squash a person, she wouldn't let me make 2 payments to get my truck back. Usually a reputable place would work with you to help you not lose your vehicle that is worth $3500 because of $400. I couldn't afford to pay the rest of the loan that wasn't even due for another year and all the other outrageous costs tacked on, repossession fees, redemption fees, tow fees etc. She enjoyed saying no we will not work with you even though you have always paid your other loans. She stuck the knife in further, lied and said she called me several times to tell me to make a payment. So they are extremely shady. Be warned! Do not use this place for a loan.
