I “took a chance” and sent my IPhone to Gizmogul hoping that it was legitimate and would actually pay me what had been offered for my old phone. It did! I chose a gift card for the reimbursement because I don’t have PayPal or Venmo.
It took a month, and an email, but the payment was more than I expected, and I’m thrilled.

"DON’T BE FOOLED BY POSITIVE REVIEWS"

* A gentleman by the name of Mike reached out, and although none of our queries or concerns regarding their own employee were answered, the payment was finally sent. So I will upgrade to 2 stars, although ethically our position still stands on the murkiness of this company.
Overall process was more stress than it was worth, and one can’t help wondering if it weren’t for the aggression of the reviews, would they have actually even reached out to remedy this situation? Don’t think one should be considering filing charges and having to literally hunt down their due payout after items are sent. And considering one of their own egregiously risked and damaged their company rep, they oddly don’t seem too concerned about that. I don’t need your company policy manual verbally read to me, the transaction was very straightforward and should not have evolved the way it did, including false screenshots of “wire being sent” texted to the customer, and a blatant evasion of communication advent to receiving the package. *


Was swayed by positive online reviews & presence so felt fairly comfortable enough to send out 10 brand new iPhones that had been part of a corporate bundle in blind faith.
Since this was a higher value transaction, I was handled by Orlando Concalves, the Technology and Quality Conrtol Manager. After verbally assuring me of their company’s credentials, and their 800k/yr account relationship with FedEx, he persuaded me to send in my packages using my own carrier for insurance purposes.
Up until they received the shipment, and a few hours post, he was accessible to reach, and the communication was open.
First red flags started when pricing discrepancies started verbally emerging. From here, promises of a near immediate dispatch of funds began from the day of receiving my package, and continued on for nearly a week advent.
The equivalent of "check is in the mail" kicked it off, followed in with personal scheduling conflicts, a funeral attendance thrown in on behalf of an alleged retired co-owner, and a Zelle issue with the bank.
Yesterday I received a text message of some “screenshot” containing the details of the wire transfer that was supposedly sent. Not only was this a complete fraud, the bank is not shown, and several other pertinent factors that are usually contained in a wire transfer confirmation were absent.
Of course after checking with my bank, they confirmed there is no pending incoming wire.
Given this murky company's professed volume, it was astounding that I was having to chase them around to collect payment on a straightforward transaction.
Now the IMEI's will need to be reported, and due to the loss value, have to file a police report.
In today's world of already overfilled chores and headaches, did one really need the additional stress of getting scammed yet again in the online world?
Don't bother sending in your discarded stapler, much less anything of collateral value. Company is NOT how they're portrayed.
