"Yes Chef Customer Service was great"
Yes Chef Customer Service was great! Replied quickly and was very helpful. Glad to see there is a real human behind the first automated replies. :)
Love the classes too!

"Completely nonresponsive"
Completely nonresponsive! Gave this as a gift to my husband for 2021 father's day and was surprised to get charged again in 2022. Tried many times but no email response from them. Had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card. Time wasted with their bad business practices. Be careful!

"Great content, great customer service!"
I have used YesChef for a couple of years now and have learned quite a bit. Recently I contacted them about a billing issue and it was resolved quickly. YesChef is not just great content but a great company to do business with. They listen to subscribers.

"Same story as others where I have been…"
Same story as others where I have been tricked into their auto-renew.
Impossible to get hold of them to cancel this and then lots of promises to refund the money.
Raise a dispute with your card holder guys, it's the only way to get your money back.

"I had an issue with my account login so…"
I had an issue with my account login so I messaged the help support and they got back to me within a reasonable time, had the solution, and a backup solution just incase. Very prompt, professional and helpful. Aside from that one time issue that wasn’t even their fault, this Site has the top tier chef’s giving you the most detailed instruction for their amazing recipes. I recommend this to anyone who has a passion for food and wants to better their skill.

"You're paying $180 just to wait. Buyer beware."
First time leaving a review but I felt compelled to warn others. After being bombarded with YesChef ads everywhere in 2021, I decided to give the service a try when I saw them run a substantial sale (50% off). Their social media advertised a ton of eye-catching, beautifully filmed content and though they were clear some content would be "coming soon", I decided to go for it because surely within a year the content would be available. Wrong. Even in 2021 I saw reviews of others complaining about their lack of output, but given the state of COVID I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Wrong again. We are now in 2022 and in the year since originally subscribing, they've managed to add only *2* videos of a new class that I don't remember ever seeing advertised as "coming soon". The butchery class with Dario Cecchini (which I was mostly looking forward to) has been nearly empty for over a year, with the only video being a video introducing the teacher, despite the home page advertising the class alongside what I presume to be a fake review of the class since the class has no content whatsoever to even review.
However, the final straw for me was the website. It is terribly designed and full of bugs. You have to sign in using the "sign up" button for some reason and even after signing in, you are kicked back to the home page where you're told to "sign up." Clicking on the "classes" tab does nothing but send you to a sales pitch for unregistered users — even though you just signed in! To access the class content you paid for, you have to physically type in "app.yeschef.me" in the URL address bar, though you'd think you'd be redirected to it after signing in as a registered user. This is really basic stuff. The video watching experience is also weird as you can't seamlessly switch between lessons, but instead have to constantly go back and forth refreshing new pages to do the smallest things. No workbooks either, so good luck typing out every single recipe if you ever want to try them out in the future.
It's clear a small and overwhelmed team is running the service, and though I'm sure they want to meet customer expectations, the cost is too much to bare for the consumer. At $180/year, you are realistically going to pay almost $400 for 2 years in order to wait for and access the content you want. At this point, I would be paying $180 just to wait. That's just not reasonable. Despite the production value of the available classes, the quality of this services pales in comparison to the books and individual classes I could buy with $400. I would advice others to either wait a year before signing up or to avoid it altogether. If you stumble upon a substantial sale like I did and have money to burn, I guess it wouldn't hurt to see how they've progressed since reading this review. But, you've been warned!

Fantastic lessons with first class chefs and great production. Customer service is actually very good (I had a number of problems and all were sorted out quickly and efficiently).

"Difficult to contact customer support"
I attempted to cancel my renewal on the day that it auto-renewed. The customer support Tel line was busy for 3 days. I tried on line with no success. I finally was able to initiate a chat. It took 2 days for a response and they said I chose auto renew thus I would have to wait the entire cycle (1 year). Their customer support is terrible. Do not get suckered by the auto renew. I wasn't aware. A company with integrity would cancel and/or at least alert you to a pending auto renew.
