"Poor service."
Had to use the chat application and talk to 3 people to get my account unfrozen when they thought there was suspicious online activity( there wasn’t). I could not access my own money for 2 weeks. They would not give me a straight answer. I moved all my money to Questrade as soon as I could access it.

"Multiple horrific customer services"
I have two accounts with WS and have experienced multiple horrific services with them, including transferring incorrect book costs, 2-hour phone holding to speak with a senior that got nowhere, and incompetence at the service frontline.
If they did not have zero-commission trade, I pull my money immediately.

"Utterly horrendous"
Utterly horrendous, I strongly recommend that you avoid their managed porfolios at any cost. If you are looking to only do free trades it is great. I transferred my Lira account only to find out that unlike other brokers I cannot have a say in what it holds, the managed portfolios by their Robo-advisors make exceedingly bad choices.

Absolutely no customer service and completely mickey mouse set up. I would not invest 10 cents and be able to trust them to look after my money. Their software system is flawed and cannot address customer needs. Stay away.

Attention. La plateforme Impôt simple ÉTAIT très conviviale, facile d'accès, très facile a utilisé et des réponses claires et rapides en français. Malheureusement, depuis que Wealthsimple a acheté Impôtsimple, le français a été relâché et maintenant leur plateforme a complètement changé. Je n’ai jamais réussi à ouvrir ou faire une projection 2021. Je me connecte et rien ne fonctionne comme avant. Aucune projection possible ni revoir nos impôts des années antérieurs. Un « chat » unilingue anglophone inutilisable. Cette plateforme d’impôt est devenue trop compliquer malheureusement, j'ai utilisé cette plateforme plusieurs années et maintenant je cherche une autre solution. J'ai écrit un courriel en français, ils m'ont répondu en anglais. Sans comprendre mes questions. Vraiment déçu...

"My experience with wealthsimple investments"
Back in July, I decided to put a large sum of my savings account into an investment portfolio with Wealthsimple. I thought I would earn more than the interest rates the banks offer. And I understand with investments your balance will fluctuate. But what really had me concerned is that from July up until last week, the balance was in drawdown the majority of time -3.5k the most I’ve been up during this 6 month stretch was +1k unfortunately I wasn’t aware that I was up because I check the balance once a week. And not long after I went down to -3.5k again. I had enough, I don’t trust the robo advisors/traders and decided to take the loss and take my savings out. I lost 3.5k but at least I have peace of mind that the remainder of my money is back with me and not in the hands of wealthsimple. Never again.

"Dismal customer service"
I have been a Wealthsimple customer for several years and had a six figure sum invested across my Wealthsimple TFSA and RRSP. I recently moved to the UK but want to keep my savings in Canada. The Canadian Government allows non-residents to hold a TFSA and RRSP, but frustratingly, Wealthsimple does not allow this. Wealthsimple froze my assets until I withdrew them. What's worse is that they then made it extremely difficult for me to withdraw my assets. I have now spent months been bounced between customer support agents, each of whom were as useless as the last. They created delays by forcing me to complete the same forms multiple times (because they kept sending the wrong forms). Then they created further delays by not responding to my messages. I still have a few hundred dollars in a Joint Save account, which I have been trying to withdraw for more than a month, but Wealthsimple is blocking the withdrawal with no explanation of why. Cannot wait to finally empty my account and sever all ties forever.
