"Good price, but be prepared to wait"

I use the Bristol branch for both delivery and collection (as self collection for ambient products can result in significant price savings).
The price point for goods is generally very good, and the availability is acceptable.
For delivery, I always pick the 0600-1000 delivery slot, and in the 2.5 years that I have been using JJ Food Service, maybe only twice have JJ managed to deliver inside this window - they ALWAYS do deliver, but they are NEVER on time, which normally means they hit us as a business between 1100-1300 when we are busy with customers and it is much less convenient to receive the delivery. The drivers are always polite, and very efficient (not chatty at all), just never on time.
I have also noticed increasingly of late that frozen produce is not being delivered properly/fully frozen -with items like pastries arriving soft - anyone using frozen pastries knows that this is simply going to become one big unusable pastry blob made up of a bag of 30 pastries, which leads me to question the refrigeration capability of their fleet of trucks (the trucks are left with doors open at the depot when not in use, so you can clearly see that the chilled/frozen compartment closest to the driver cab is very small, and might explain why temperature holding is poor).
This is most frustrating, as I use JJ mainly to deliver frozen produce in bulk (as stated, I often collect ambient goods myself), which now I am having to reconsider.

"I made an order and its a minimum…"

I made an order and its a minimum amount to be able to get delivery.
I received the order but the eggs were cracked so they had to take them back and I was not allowed a replacement. I was told I will need to re order so it means I would need to spend another minimum of £85 to get the delivery!
It's unfortunate as I order alot with JJ but if anything is wrong with an order on delivery they don't replace single items.

"My second review on my second order"

My second review on my second order, as usually bought the 2x5kilo chicken, best price ever as it was on special offer, my god these chicken must be massive and we know the taste is so good, but for the firsts time I bought the chicken kebab meat, well what can I say then delicious, I put it in my air fryer on extra crispy for 8 minutes, well it was so nice I had another one the next day, just writing about it makes me want another one. Highly recommend the chicken kebab meat and the chicken fillets oh and the prawns I bough last time

" Jjs has been extremely unhelpful in resolving this problem."

My registered Peckwater Brands account limits my purchases to specific items from Jjs. However, both Peckwater Brands and my personal Jjs account require a minimum £150 spending for delivery. To meet my needs for additional items, I created a separate Jjs account with the same delivery address. Unfortunately, this means I'd have to spend £300 in total to qualify for delivery to the same address on the same day, which seems unfair. Despite being a regular customer, Jjs declined to accommodate my request to combine orders. This is disappointing, as it should be simple to verify the delivery address and combine orders.

There are two solutions Jjs can consider: allowing me to add other items to my Peckwater Brands account or totaling the prices of orders from both accounts to reach £150 for delivery. Both options involve minor changes to ordering and shouldn't be difficult to implement. Technology should make things easier, not more challenging!

"Not a wholesale price "

Would have been great if their prices are Wholesale price. Their prices are sometimes even higher than the retail price.

"As with the last two reviews on Google"

As with the last two reviews on Google, I have ordered from these guys for almost 2 years. However, the last delivery, not only was the food I ordered of a very poor quality, that it is not edible, the customer service was even worse. JUST BEWARE, as a consumer, you are expected to reheat, cook, check and taste all the products you ordered within 24 hours of it being received and to report any faults within 24 hours. So, if you order bulk like I had, where I ordered nearly £200 worth of food and simply put the frozen ordered food in the freezer, DO NOT DO THIS. JJ expects you to cook or reheat all of the frozen (or fresh) food within 24 hours and report all the faults. AVOID the Ali Baba brand.

FOLLOW UP RESPONSE TO JJ: JJ's response does not make sense. How are you supposed to only check the item without re-heating and cooking it to taste whether it is off. It is only when I re-heated the frozen meat after a week from frozen that it tasted off and had to be binned. It was still within the expiry period of the frozen product. The statement that the "Customer Services have tried to resolve the matter" is a load of rubbish, as all that Customer Service did was analogous to sticking the middle finger up and copying and pasting the terms and conditions in its email to me. There was no "tried to resolve" the matter. It would have been nice if JJ just put their hands up and said, sorry.
