"Completley mis sold"
Really easy to insure covered all my mods that prev insurance couldnt cover.. asked about charges for changes to policy was told that could modify and amend throughout the year free of charge. Insurance started 7th july. Due to unforseen circumstances had to sell the vehicle in September.. called to amend the insurance to cover my new vehicle which was no longer modified and told that they would have to cancell my insurance as they wouldn't cover new vehicle. Asked if there was cancellation charges and told over the phone that as they couldn't insure me no cancellation charges would be applied only a portion of the premium for the time i been covered . Any remaining fees or refund would be advised by email.. been covered max of 2 months as cancelled 7th Sept. Already paid
£147 of the total annual amout of £449.. then received my email saying they expected a further £114 for cancelling.. so that's ,£261 (more than half a years cost) for 2 months of insurance are they having a laugh... had they made this clear at point of quote i would never have accepted the premium. When i complained they told me this was a reduced cancellation charge as they had waivered some of their admin fees.. feel like i have been completely miss sold this product as they have clearly deliberately avoided these charges and implied that they dont exist.. cancelled other insurance with other companies for similar reasons in the past and always recieved a refund or a final statement with nothing remaining to pay...

"Dreadful service"
Dreadful service. Been with this company for a few years. Now they have cancelled my policy without contacting me prior, saying that I have done 20000 miles in a year and owe nearly £400 in excess premiums because my limited mileage was only estimated at 5000, even though last year I recommended putting it at 8000 to the adviser over the phone but he suggested leaving it at 5000 because its cheaper. Now they can't find the recorded phone call! . I can clearly prove that I have only done just over 7000 in the insurance period from 2019-2020. My policy documents do not state that I will be charged a premium if I go over the limited millage, only if I make a claim! I have always told the company to contact me by phone and post as I don't use my email, todays adviser said due to coronavirus they haven't been doing postal work only emails, to which my response was I hadn't been notified of these changes so any correspondence is delayed as I'm not expecting emails from yourself. He didn't seem interested or helpful in how to resolve it one bit just said someone else will contact me. Last week an adviser called me regarding my renewal and said that I owed money to the broker, I asked how much and they said he will contact them and get back too me? No response from them by post or phone call a week later. So today I call them myself and they tell me my policy has been cancelled because they haven't heard from me or received a payment of what was owed which I was waiting a phone call or letter about, they also state they are with holding my No claims bonus until I make the payment. absolute waste of space, would not recommend to anybody as they don't seem interested or willing to help one bit!!!!!

"Blunt but Good"
After reading the other reviews, I can confirm that the advisers can be a bit blunt over the phone. I have a C6 RS6 and they didn't seem interested in insuring it. After checking though, they absolutely smashed my renewal from £1,200 (with a different specialist) to £590, including euro, legal, windscreen and all non-power mods (including exhaust).

"First experience was lacking"
Entered all my details on the online form and got a call back from someone who was just disinterested. Wanted a quote for my car and the guy couldn’t help me because he “needed” to know how much my current insurer was quoting me in order to beat it LOL
OR in the real world you could just give me the cheapest quote for my needs and I can decide what company I spend my money with. You lost a customer
Update as of 31st October
Greenlight are now requesting my details to ensure my review is genuine. This is a full 8+ months after I tried to get a quote from them and left this review. What a shambles!
Take the company ratings on Trustpilot with a pinch of salt because I’ll hazard a bet that most unhappy prospective customers either don’t leave a review or won’t bother to enter their details for Greenlight to confirm it’s ‘genuine’. I’ll happily stay away and remind everyone else I know to do the same

"Brilliant company"
Brilliant company if you're looking for modified insurance, they ensured I knew everything I needed to. Prices were great and smashed other competitors out of the park. Would highly recommend.

"will never use again"
insured me for a van, mentioned moving no claims discount from a car to the van, I kept saying that I didn't want to until the car was sold. they still took out the policy. then the day after I paid the full amount, cancelled the policy as I hadn't moved the no claims. then took another month to refund my payment, deducting £44 for 5 days of cover.
