"Misleading Images"
Warning. Misleading images.
I bought a paperback and hardback journal. I'd made my own design / layout and was excited to use it.
However when the journals arrived, I found it is impossible to write in either one. They can barely open at all and definitely do not work as a journal.
The images on the journal section and diary sections of the website are misleading.
They show the journal laying flat and show them being written in etc. However what they have no specified is that the images shown are of a journal which costs £238 to print.
Unless you order a Smyth Sewn journal, then it cannot be written in. Any of the other options are effectively useless and should not be sold really. What's the point of a journal or a diary that can't be written in?
Mixam please make it clear that the image shown is a £200+ Smyth Sewn journal and also make it clear that the other binding options will not allow for you to write in the journal.

Edit: I chatted with someone earlier today and they were able to find my Order Number, so not sure why it can't be found now.

i paid £7 for dpd "quick"(remember im waiting not 2 days - but 15 days !!!!!! and stil not arrived) delivery they sent it with royal mail -i can show proof to anyone that is asking a proof - and i clicked the the link of dpd to track and it says "incorect details"
im sure the excellent reviews are paid
bunch of scammers - in email and in order they say they sent with dpd company but these scammers sent it in royal mail in very slow delayed delivery

I was recently really disappointed with my service with mixam.
I have previously used them and been very happy with their service and customer service.
I ordered using the express service, to be delivered by a certain date.
I didn’t get any order notifications but the money had come out.
On the day they were due to be delivered I called to check the status, to be told there had been a production delay, and my order was not coming.
Apparently I had got an email but I couldn’t see one.
I asked if I could upgrade to a next day delivery as waiting until Monday was no use as the brochures were for an event that weekend, at first she tried to help but saying I’d have to pay an additional £40 for next day Saturday delivery, but I was told no, and the lady on the phone was really not understanding or helpful at all.
In the end I got an email saying, we can’t send them, on Saturday as they were already on the pallet.
I understand that things go wrong, but I really feel like they did not want to try and help, because I really needed them, and they were late arriving. I was told I’d get no refund and the delivery date is not a definite delivery date just an estimate? Why charge the extra for express, or make it clear that it’s not a garenteed date.
In the end they actually did turn up on the Saturday, so we were able to use them for half the event which was better than nothing.
But just left me feeling sour about the whole situation as it didn’t feel like they wanted to try and help fix the issue, appologies or make it right. So I’m unlikely to use them again.

"Lots of patience needed"
Mixam wasn't the easiest to use on the first try but the results were good.
Messaged the support to ask a question and a large chunk of pages got deleted. Was told I had to start again because they couldn't go back to how I made it before they deleted it.
Overall took me 2 hours to make a 30 page magazine but the outcome was very good.
Can imagine it gets easier after trying it once.
