Customer service is too slow. I created an insurance for my sons trip but made a simple mistake. I entered wrong date for the end date of the insurance. Since you can cancel within 10 days, I have been trying to do that, after which I planned to create the correct one. This process of cancelation however is cumbersome in my opinion and I have as of yet not received any official confirmation of the cancellation. In the mean time I receive various other emails from my Nomad friends but after a week still no dice on the cancellation.....
Update:
It was ultimately resolved, just should not have to take over a week..

I have used World Nomads many times and have always had a good experience with them. This time, I had to cancel my trip due to an illness in my family and will be reimbursed. I really appreciate this.

Absolutely livid that I chose this insurance company as a travelling nomad . Upon my recent cancer diagnosis whilst in Australia (when I am British ) so the other side of the world, I received no advice or financial support towards my repatriation, diagnosis or treatment . Literally was told “go home” .. as I had no return ticket they expected me to sit and wait for the staging diagnosis upon my return to the uk which I would have had to book an immediate , last minute flight the run up to Christmas at thousands of pounds and ignore the medical advise I was receiving here to be scanned and tested to see if I was dying or not. I complained and received an equally patronising response from the complaint department at which point they accused me of trying to financially gain from the situation. I purchased this policy weeks before my diagnosis moving from another expired policy and I wholehearted regret my decision . I have received nothing from them even a refund for the policy I don’t need as I am no longer abroad . The response times are also terrible I had to chase for every single stage . I’d had to think what happens in an immediate life threatening situation with these cowboys.
