"Bad Experience"
I paid nick over 400 pounds, only to have nick refer to a termination clause which he alleges gives him the right to terminate contracts at his discretion and take down vevo videos which he had been paid handsomely to distribute online.
I allege that Horus's termination of the contracts is totally unfair, and I allege that it his his way of avoiding answering questions about streaming data and ownership rights to my music.
He took down about 20+l Vevo videos, so that they were offline, broke all the corresponding social media links to them, even though he had been paid to distribute them, and i allege unlawfully terminated the contracts to distribute the music videos while keeping the money i had paid him.
He had many excuses, things like termination clauses which he alleges allows him to escape his contractual obligations at his discretion, and keep your money.
Also what he alleges is indemnity against any legal costs he incurs, even if they arise through defending himself against his own unlawful acts (i.e. if you take him to court because of him refusing to fulfil his contractual obligations, then even if he loses, he allegedly claims an indemnity for his costs of defending himself). This is a threat that he states even though i explicitly told him I have no intention of taking him to court, and tried to find a mutual resolve which was not possible.
Generally, I am dissatisfied by the services provided by Horus music, as the videos i paid him to distribute are offline and he has kept the payments for distribution, along with issued various allegations which all ultimately end up costing more money in the process.

Dear Horus, i read your reply addressed to Ryan. I dont know who you are referring to, but I am not Ryan. Perhaps you have this feedback confused with someone else you have performed the same tactics on. I was not abusive to your staff as you allege, and have always conducted correspondence in writing, never on the phone as alleged. in my emails I just asked questions about abnormalities in the reports.
I have merely pointed out my understanding of the matter, in legal terms, with particular regard as to what I believe are unlawful acts on your part.
This includes the unfair use of termination agreements while keeping all payments to you, while taking down all my Music, along with a refusal to explain why my Artist ownership of the musical works was set to 0% on videos, with other contributors appearing on my works who I had never even heard of.
At the end of the day, the music videos Horus was paid to distribute are all offline, and Nick has pocketed the money he was paid to distribute the same.
The reports and figures stated my ownership was 0% and the hundreds of thousands of streams the videos received earned a meagre 8 pence according to his reports. This lead me to question whether he had taken the effort to properly negotiate distribution agreements with streaming platforms.
There were many abnormalities arising when i dealt with this company, and they faced replies of deflection and excuse and what i believe are unlawful ways for Horus to escape from answering questions about the detail of their distribution services, or providing theservice they had agreed to.
The MD of Horus who for the above matters, really caused disappointment and had a negative impact on my musical art. Rather than have clear logical explanations things in the reports just did not add up.
The dispute with Horus took my focus from producing Music, and that was what i was most upset about. The way it detracted from something i am passionate about, which since changing distributor i have been able to focus on.

We've been using Horus Music to distribute our music and I have to say that their support is spectacular. They are very quick to process requests and most queries are resolved within a few hours. The team of Malini, Chandrika and Robert along with the rest of the staff is doing a wonderful job.
As an artist, we hope to reach a wide audience when we release new music. Horus Music provides an Add on Playlisting service for artists and labels distributing music through them. This has been instrumental in having our music featured on playlists by Apple Music, JioSaavn, Boomplay and Humgama. Without their support, it would have had been tough to get our music featured and really cut through the noise percolating the digital space. This makes us effectively reach a wide and a global audience.
I would recommend anybody looking for a distributor to sign up with Horus Music.

"First of all I'd like to call out to…"
First of all I'd like to call out to Emily from support, she's replying faster than the Flash from the comicbooks himself!
It's really impressive how fast songs get approved/dissaproved (for respective reasons).
I am presenting a decent amount of artists from all over the world (we meet in pubs, meet new people/artists and try to gather publicity as much as possible from all around the world). That said, it's obviously that someone needs to take care of uploading artists, making sure they get seen, here is where I jump in mostly.
Uploading artists is a job on itself it seems and as said before, it's ridiculous how fast everything gets processed, to-the-point explanations why an upload has to be edited (no 2 weeks waiting before getting the result of the actual upload & to have it then denied... so you can upload it again and wait another 2 weeks..).
Support - top notch
Website/upload structure - it could be better, yes, however I got so tired of lack of support/decency on other distributors that literally the support waves away the small things.

Highly recommended to all independent musicians. Just one thing I would suggest is that tracks should be distributed on Indian DSPs as well. That said, Horus music's fast distribution, client service, and free playlist service are the best in the game. I am personally satisfied.

"Great Start!"
I'm still early in the process with Horus Music, and hiring them as my digital distributor, but will say is that so far, the experience has been great!
Customer response time to my very first email/list of questions was within an hour, and almost instantly on reply.
Another big win, is that they actually have a customer support phone number! Huge!!!
I had a list of about 10 questions I wanted answers to before making my final decisions. And I very much appreciate an actual conversation with a human being to solve things more quickly and interactively.
So upon calling Horus Music, after one brief automated prompt to choose the correct department, the phone was answered quickly by a woman named Rosa.
She was very warm and friendly, and answered all of my questions, one by one. I immediately felt welcomed and valued by Horus Music as a result. Moreover, in spite of the many questions, I never detected even a hint of impatience from her.
I've had the complete opposite experience with Ditto music, my former distributor. I'll save you the head ache of listening to the laundry list of BS I've gone through with them.
Back to Rosa and Horus. As mentioned, I'm very new to their service, but I did extensive research when looking for a new digital distributor and here are the main attractive bullet points.
-Price is highly competitive.
Only £20 annually for nearly unlimited songs/albums.
You keep 100% of royalties. They also have a flat, one time fee option for each album, if you prefer.
-CUSTOMER SERVICE! Actual humans. Great response time.
-200 plus stores, and strong reach in Asia, India, Africa
-a whole boatload of additional services (marketing, playlisting, PR, publishing, etc). You will pay for these services, but the prices seem reasonable, and the fact that they offer them, is amazing!
-In business since 2006. (Meaning, not likely to go out of business. Thus your music should stay online safely, and you wont lose play counts to a failed business)
The only downside I can see so far, and it's not even a big deal, is that the website and interface/artist dashboard is a bit old school.
Particularly the dashboard could be made a bit more user friendly, BUT, it still works. I was able to get my album uploaded and all the data plugged in without too many issues. And most importantly, when I encountered a setback, I quickly got the clarity needed from Rosa to keep the process rolling.
Thank you Rosa and thank you Horus Music! I'm very much looking forward to building this relationship and creating success together as time goes on!

I really do not know where to start praising these guys. I have never seen a company that works so relentlessly for the Artist. There are many distribution companies in the music industry, but there are only a very few who really studies and incorporates what the Artists truly needs when it comes to reaching out their music to the World. Horus Music is beyond an aggregator. They are beyond distribution. They are a one stop shop for the Artist especially the independent scene. Right from distribution, to promotion, to radio plugging, to marketing and to even their client management. When in grievances, their client management team is always very fast when to comes responding and resolving your query. I, as an artist have never felt alone but I have always felt warm and comfortable working with them. Horus Music, you will always have my support and If I can do everything to promote your name, I would do it blindly. The customer service team (and especially Emily Jackson) was super helpful in helping me get my release properly setup. This included going above and beyond their normal setup, as I had some issues/requests stemming from previous releases with another distributor.
