I did not have the best experience in my first attempt to do business with this company. I conducted a small "test" transaction with this company to test their business practices and customer service. I attempted to purchase approx $250 worth of silver product. The payment repeatedly failed. I checked with my bank TWICE, CONFIRMING that the issue was on SD Bullion's payment processor's side. The SD Bullion customer service agent, Ike J., repeatedly failed to adequately investigate the issue. If he had performed a simple investigation of the issue, he would have figured out what the problem was and we could have resolved it, but he refused to put ANY EFFORT whatsoever into resolving the problem, repeatedly indicating the issue was on my bank's end (false). Because of this lack of qualified assistance, I backed out of the transaction. I asked Ike to cancel the order. He did. Then AFTER reminds me of the order cancellation fee. Now, I've done business for many years. And, if I knew a customer would have to pay a fee for cancelling a transaction (especially a first time customer), I would warn them first. I would not cancel it, THEN remind them of the fee. Which is what happened in this case. Now I am receiving threatening letters from this company saying I better pay or I will go into collections with additional fees for a product I was not able to purchase because of their untrained customer service personnel. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. I later found out the issue was an incorrect billing address, one of the two most common payment processor issues (CVV is the other one). If Ike had simply confirmed my billing address this could have been easily resolved. They do not understand how basic payments are processed, nor how to troubleshoot payment processing problems. I have worked in the financial payment space, and I can tell the customer service personnel do not have the proper tools and/or the proper training. Because if they had, they could have resolved this issue fairly quickly. Not impressed with these guys at all. If you cannot handle a simple $250 coin purchase, then how could I trust you with a $10,000 . . . $50,000 . . . or $100,000 order? The answer is, I could not . . . and this simple test order proved it.

My initial purchase from SD Bullion went exceptionally well. Great price and fast shipping made this company a permanent bookmark in my browser. Which I conveniently used again a couple weeks later. SD will see more of my business in the near future.

The 5oz silver "at spot" is really a $25 credit on your order, which, in my case, turned out to be above spot by $1.55 an ounce. I took that 5oz bar as part of a $3000 first order.

I also have to say I didn't love being inundated with religious messaging and requests to donate to a religious charity when I opened the box. There's nothing on the site to suggest you're buying from a company that's going to hit you with religious proselytizing when you order. It's not about religion, you do you, girl. It's about who we choose to do business with. You can't choose if you don't know. I suspect that's why the website isn't riddled with religious messaging.
