Cycle Sent

"Never again"
It took 2 weeks for them to pick up and deliver my bicycle when I moved. I paid extra for the same day box drop (I bought a bike box too) and pick up as the guy who was keeping my bicycle was busy. I needed it to be done on the same day.
At first I stated the required day when I ordered the service then I received the email that the box delivery is going to happen on that day and the pick up my bike the following day.
I sent a reply that I already paid for the same day service.
They acknowledged it.
Then the day came, I was waiting, not a single text or email. My friend sent me an email that cyclesent called him that their system was down so they couldn't come. I didn't receive any message from them!
My friend had to rescheduled it for a week later but I was not notified by the company.
I sent them an email to ask what's going on, no apology, nothing. They only said they would drop the box one day and pick up the bike later but they were confused about my order?!
Again I had to email them that I paid extra for the same day box drop and bike pick up and I was asking for a refund.
Again they acknowledged it.
Then I was waiting for the actual delivery day to come, again no message to inform me what's going on. NOTHING at all.
And obviously I haven't received my money back yet. So for me cyclesent is a never ever again category.

"My experience with Cyclesent"
The experience with Cyclesent - late pick up, no tracking of box (bike), then box gets damaged, next day delivery turned into next week delivery, emails and phone call get stone walled. Customer services was like a black hole: stuff went in - nothing came out. Summary: expensive, unreliable and incapable.
If you're still reading this is what happened. I went for the box and bike option with next day delivery for my mountain bike. The bike was picked up on a Thursday, delivery Friday - confirmed by email. Then on Friday, email arrived saying the box has missed it's connection (delivery address was only 100 miles away) and wouldn't be delivered until Monday (no offer of compensation). After the weekend, I get an email saying that the packaging had been damaged and it is being held at the hub, delivery set for tomorrow (Tuesday). After about 10 phone calls, I did eventually speak to Cyclesent on the phone but no information on the box could be provided. The matter remains unresolved.

"Excellent service"
Excellent service, used them many times as a bike trader and so far no damages, no lost bikes, everything turns up as planned. Well recommended.

"Avoid This Company!"
Simply the worst online shopping experience I've had. Use anyone else but this bunch of imposters.
Their customer service is appalling and they clearly don't care!
On the face of it, this looked like a perfect solution, but it soon descended into farce.
Note: They didn't refund immediately, they asked for an additional payment to cover a remote area charge which I duly paid, but did moan about, as I don't consider Edinburgh to 'be remote! At the very end of that day they then cancelled and refunded my booking without consulting me, and without me requesting them to do so.

"AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST"
Dreadful company. Had to chase them at every point. Paid £250 for door to door service then they say buyer has to collect from depot.
Customer service non existent. No reply to messages or emails. No one answers the phone.
Use Paisley Freight or anyone else as these are expensive and useless.

"Don't use Cyclesent !"
Do not use Cyclesent to ship your bike !
Just don't do it !
If you really can't collect it yourself, then rather go direct to a courier.

"Too long and far more expensive than expected"
Contrary to what is stated on the website under FAQ
"DO I HAVE TO PACK MY BIKE IN A BOX? Yes, Shipping your bike without a box is not advised, the bike.
The suggestion that is not advised is totally misleading. If the bike is not boxed or pack it is simple not be collected at which point incremental cost start to pill up. Once the box is delivered and packing is complete the service probably go well.
Unfortunately the "not advised" which does not mean "must be box" has cost me too much.

"excellent way to send a bike :-)"
Definitely the best and easiest way of sending a bike anywhere in the country. The communication was exemplary and very professional. Worth advertising this as a service if selling on ebay again.
