"A waste of my Time"

I contacted them and arranged a free design visit. on the day a surveyor turned up to measure the room and advised that the designer would call me on the phone to discus the design. She really did not have an idea of what I wanted and said after a conversation she would design something and send the details. 3 weeks later although chased several times , I have had no response or received anything . It was a total waste of my time and an extremely poor service

Overall I would not hesitate to highly recommend Humphries Cabinets. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly, professional and down to earth, all clearly taking great pride in their work. The end result were high-quality, bespoke built-in wardrobes which are beyond my expectations and the envy of many!

Yes, the cost is higher than some other companies but I would still argue it was solid value for money given the bespoke nature and high quality finish.
Having sourced other quotes, I found that Humphries Cabinets (along with the excellent end product) were polite and open to listening to my ideas for the build. They made suggestions to improve functionality etc but were not dismissive, patronising or rigid in their design ideas as I had found with other companies. The carpenters and painter who carried out the work were outstanding, professional and friendly. The team went above and beyond to ensure the work was completed as expected and to a very high standard. Communication and support from the project coordinator was very good.

If I had to find a quibble, it might be that the initial start day/schedule duration organisation was a bit chaotic. If you are free to be at home and interrupted this wouldn't be an issue. My start day was changed last minute and so more difficult for me to reschedule for. We worked around it in the end but I wonder if the company, in their understandable eagerness to have jobs lined up, underestimate the impact of one job running long or late. I do hope the company owners realise and appreciate their staff as it is their willingness to work so diligently and their genuine niceness that helps smooth over these wrinkles.

"Great Alcove Units customised exactly to my requirements"

We had quotes for building cabinets into alcoves either side of the chimney breast. I had specific requirements that included access to plug sockets, storage cupboards below, and glass doors to protect books from dust. Some companies would not do the last part as it is a bespoke requirement (apparently!). Humphries provided a very competitive quote and so I placed the order. From that point on they were so great to work with. There were a number of site visits, and lots of ongoing contact to ensure they had understood everything I wanted. They were very clear on all the options and made helpful suggestions when I wasnt sure what to choose. The staff were all friendly and professional. I needed to relocate some electrical sockets ahead of the build and they put me touch with an electrician they used who did a great job. The carpentry is of good quality and the paint finish nice. It did take longer than expected when they were onsite to build and paint the units but this was not an issue.

There were one or two snags which were sorted promptly and no major issues. The cupboards were built in March 2022 but we are now in July 2023 and they are still in perfect condition.

I think Humphries are great value for money and built exactly what I asked for.

If your home is full of original Chippendale then this might not be for you but the standard, quality, and value for money are spot on and I would very much recommend them.

From the get go, we were really impressed with the curtious and professional attitude of everyone involved.
We had a tv cabinet , some shelving and x3 large cupboards fitted and we couldn't be happier with the end product. All done within the time frame promised & to a really high standard.
