"They successfully sold my Restricted Inventory."
Updated Review 5/1/2024: I recently spoke with the owner of Restricted Inventory and learned that the company had some account health issues and had to work through them, and the dates involved unfortunately coincided with the delays I experienced (It took about 4 months to list my inventory, and another 4 months for that inventory to go live.
So far, Restricted inventory has paid out close to $550 for 3 boxes of cds. Although the RI website hasn't updated my listings, I get the impression that they have worked hard to build resiliency into their business model so this doesn't happen again. Overall, Id say the company has done alot to overcome the challenges they experienced as a startup and Avery, the business owner, has responded to my inquiries in a timely and efficient manner whenever I requested escalation. I'm changing my review to a 5 star because the Owner of the company made several efforts to resolve the situation and eventually sold my Restricted Inventory.
Thank You Avery! I'm grateful this service is available.

Updated on 10/9/2023, I revised my 5 star rating to 1 star. I sent a about a thousand dollars worth of product comprising of complete and unopened CD and DVD sets and single High-Value Media items to Restricted Inventory back on July 9th, 2023. Its been a full three months and it seems like my inventory was lost, stolen, or absorbed by the company. RestrictedInventory.com has NOT been proactive with updates, and my 3 boxes still have not been checked in, although the shipping company {FedEx} has verified they were delivered to the West Coast Warehouse. Apparently the destination they were sent to has been shut down, and the last I heard a few months ago, my boxes were co-mingled with other items, palletized and shipped east to supposedly be processed and listed at an undisclosed location, this was supposed to take place about a month and a half ago. I've had to be proactive as RI has not sent a single update on their own initiative since I paid for shipping. My attitude might be different if the company was more proactive with updates, but this is not the case. I've had a mixed experience when reaching out, the owner of the company was responsive when I requested escalation, but given that a full quarter has gone by without my boxes being confirmed as received, I have to assume that everything I sent them has been lost, stolen, or co-mingled and absorbed without attribution. I would not recommend using this company based on my experience thus far.

"Rustom is a great customer service…"
Rustom is a great customer service agent. His responses are quick and he is very knowledgeable. The 3 star rating was not due to him.
I was quoted a price of $12 from restrictedinventory.com to ship two textbooks weighing 4 pounds total. As far as I can tell, this is taking advantage as media mail for shipping these would have been around $5. I didn’t want to pay an extra $7 in shipping while taking a chance I’d be paying this for nothing in the end because with restrictedinventory.com, there is no guarantee your books will sell or, if they do, that you will get the projected price you thought you’d get when sending them in.
If they don’t sell, you will still be required to pay the shipping charges and I just did not want to take that chance.
I’ve since been informed I can request a USPS label as opposed to the FedEx label. I will now probably send in some textbooks. For now, I’m upgrading my review from 2 to 3 stars. I may adjust my review again once I have the full experience and my textbooks either sell or don’t sell with RI.

"I have used Restricted Inventory before…"
I have used Restricted Inventory before and I wasn't expecting anything out of it but I was surprised how fair and accurate they are when it comes to inventory numbers and payouts so I have decided to try them out again. Stay cool Romer.
