Before Y12 , I chose bio and chem due to interest and good teachers. However, good teachers all left once I was in Y12. Now as a year 13 student,I tried to save my grades with different methods and MyEdSpace popped up on my instagram one day.
I joined both OCR A Joedoesbiology and DavDoesChemistry and they are amazing!
As I student from Hong Kong, I understand that having only lessons deliveried from school is never enough, thats why we got tuition class after school.
I really enjoy the lessons with both of the teachers and the programme is strutured nicely.
At first I was attracted by the homework avability after each lesson, cause they are always useful to check my own understanding to the topics and more exam style questions. This really benefits me as I don't need to espiecailly spend time to finds questions for just one ting topic. I can easily written down the answers and explainations from Joe into my correction booklet and organise it easily. With the teaching from Joe , I can keep on top of my biology as I can ask questions and given responses immediately. And now I can understand when my school teachers teach us(she also fly through everything) I love watching vtubers(which I don't have time for that now) but this streaming style reminds me of that and I love it.
For Dav's chemistry lessons, it is quite fun which other responses from other students (although it distract me a bit). But Dav also reminds us to do the homework and check out understanding to the question.( But people who don't understand will not always put 'no' in the chat) With lots of calculations about acids and buffers that confuse me during the lesson, just remind me to go over it myself through the book and practice it.
These teachers made me experienced fun, useful and meaningful lessons that makes me look forward to each coming up lessons. I am glad that I get the chance to see the instagram ad. and joined the course.
p.s. This is why my eng is not good cause I am not native.I paid for my course so it is also affordable to students for less than 10 pound a lesson with some 5** teachers.
I don't want them to lost their jobs as I don't want to lost anymore passionate teachers.
btw Joe,thanks for calling my name correctly for the first time. You are one of the 2 teachers.
This is also why spend 1-2 lesson to prepare myself for being called wrongly and not answering questions.

Really enjoying my time here and they do not lie when they say they are top teachers in UK. I've particularly improved in maths and chemistry thanks to neil and lajoy respectively but i have also managed to grasp a better understanding in physics thanks to brook and i have gained cofidence in biology and strongly consolidated topics I did not understand with Laura! As a student currently achieving 7s, I'm in no doubt they will continue to help me reach all 9s. Thank you MES!!!!
