Chicago Steak Company

"Overstock sale not worth it."
The steaks were not up to the standards I expect from Chicago Steak. Very little marbling in the Rib eyes and top sirloin. The hambergers were good as always.

"great service"
Enjoy sending clients the gift and they love it too!

"Dry Aged Riveyes"
Very good - slightly fatty - but then it's a ribeye.

"Best tasting steaks"
I can't go wrong with these steaks. I am not an expert on cooking steaks but somehow these come out tasting excellent. I always enjoy them.
Just one little thing, I have never been able to use the $25 gift certificate. It's too restrictive.
Never Do Business With Chicago Steak Company
"Terrible Customer Service And (Some) Rancid Overpriced Products"
1 star: Bad – unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct.
When you call the Chicago Steak Company, the service reps are obviously outsourced and have no power when there is an issue. If you have a problem, anticipate at least 15 minutes to get to the next level. I spent far longer. Second level, you have my name, order number, and phone number. Stop insisting on my mailing address in order to get a message to a "manager!"
The website said my order would be there Wednesday, but I got it Friday. 2 day morphed into UPS ground. No dry ice was left in the cooler. The bottom items were still frozen but not the top. The top item was lobster that was spoiled and rancid. It was in a restaurant style clamshell with some of the lobster sticking out the side. Keep in mind this is $25 per 6 oz lobster tail portion. My question is: why put seafood on top? No tracking was available on UPS after departing IL. There was no consistency in information flow from website or one person to another.
There are some nice operators, but once you reach the second level, watch out for some really rude behavior. I never did get a callback from a manager, promised within one business day. Funny, I didn't have to give any more info to get an email though. Huh. I did finally get a refund on the spoiled, rancid product though.
The Chicago Steak Company steak seasoning is bad. It's crude, unbalanced, clumsy, and has a strange smell. I gently placed it in a trash receptacle filled with week old vegetables and fish bones to cover the odor.
In full disclosure, the unspoiled prime sirloin was really very good. The burgers (choice I assume, not prime) were middle of the road, and make sure to thaw and press the centers down to get them to cook evenly.
I hope this helps.
READ THIS: This review has been modified. I was told that my review was going to be "archived" because when I wrote that the steak seasoning was bad, I said that the steak seasoning (word synonymous with the function of a vacuum cleaner,) and that constituted "coarse language." What year are you living in?
Also, in comparing this company to it's two vastly superior rivals, I mentioned them by name and that constituted an "external reference," which is strictly forbidden. Imagine, a review site where you can't compare a product directly to a competitor. It's madness!
Also, when I placed my order with Chicago Steak Company, I was immediately sent an email from this website to review the product. I have searched the Chicago Steak Company website for a privacy policy or disclosure that your information will immediately be shared with a third party. I still can't find it, so as they say, buyer beware.
The only reason I bothered to update this is that I refuse to let them find a petty reason to bury an honest review. I can't imagine the number of people who couldn't be bothered themselves. You should think about that when you evaluate this site as a whole.
Dear website, I'm sure you can find a reason to delete this, but in the meantime, I didn't use your site before making my purchase, and I will never use it again, so don't worry about changing your draconian policies. You see, you are irrelevant. Everyone is already using, and is much better off with, your competitor, the review site (external reference omitted.)
Now go vacuum!

"Excellent Filets worth the extra cost"
I finally understand and appreciate why filets of this quality are such a premium, cost-wise, in finer dining establishments. My Weber will never be quite the same when it comes to barbequing, which I do a lot. Count me in as a regular customer from this point going forward.

"It is hard to find the appropriate word to describe just how delicious these steaks are."
I ordered the premium 26oz bone in dry aged Ribeye. It was so marbled I thought it was Wagyu-Kobe.
Without a doubt the best steak I have ever had in my life, period.
The free steak seasoning I received with my order was too good not to use.
Thank you very much Chicago!

"Pricey but yummy"
Tasty good cuts a meat. Kinda pricey though. Free shipping is what helped me make my decision.
