"Problem with refund"

Booked a tour for 2023 and paid over $500 deposit. Now cancelling my trip due to health concerns and have emailed four times with no response. Will I get my refund back as promised????

"3 week in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia"

Hi, I am just back from a great trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and I want to write about it. We hired UME travels to take the load off us. They helped us have a very memorable trip. We wanted a 3 week trp and our advisor Carrie suggested that we go to those places. They named the trip as the Endless Beauty trip. Our itinerary was Hanoi - Halong Bay - Hue - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Can Tho - Cai Rang - Chau Doc - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Bangkok - Phuket. We saw Phi Phi Island too. It was just excellent. We felt at home from the moment we landed at Hanoi. We got welcome kits which contained a sim card and a city map. The SIM cards really helped us to connect with our guides. We got local guides at each and every place and it really helped. The local people are not very conversant with English, especially in Vietnam and Cambodia. So it really helped. The guides were available round the clock which was of great help. Even the cab drivers were so professional. We could leave our stuff easily inside the cabs while taking the trips with no worry. They returned everything with care. Everyday while leaving for the tour of the day, we got free water bottles and cool towel. It really helped while seeing Angkor Wat, when we got really thirsty from all the heat and travelling around. The hotels were great and very comfortable. Our hotel in Thailand overlooked the sea. So we wanted to chill out one day instead of roaming around. Carrie helped us get the day off. The itinerary was so flexible. Yeah, we did miss a few places in Thailand, but then, you should do what you feel like doing. Isn’t that travelling is all about? Before travelling, when we made payment, they assured us it is safe and refundable. They didn’t even charge us any credit card transaction fee. All the other agencies we spoke to wanted a 2% extra. We found the price reasonable too. We loved Phi Phi island and heard that there are full moon parties there. I do plan to go back for such a party in future. I wish the UME guys all the very best for their coming endeavours. I do plan to go back for Malaysia and Philippines and will definitely contact them for my next visit. If anyone is looking for an operator in SE Asia, do contact them. I’m sure you will love them.

"A pleasure tour"

After a long quarter at work, I really needed to take a break and unwind. And Thailand was always on my bucket list so I didn’t think twice about it. Whilist I was looking for the best booking agency I came across UME travel and to be real my trip wouldn’t have gone so perfectly without them. Though at first I was quite weary, but soon enough I was pleased with their outstanding services they had to provide. The best part is that’s they tailor made my tour considering all my requirements and provided me with a lucid itinerary that took care of all my concerns. I am a lone women traveler on restrictions such as time, budget and security. But thanks to them I was able to tick off most of my places! No need to worry about commute because they offered me a personal driver with good security. Payment was flexible with great refundable service. My guide who I grew very quick onto escorted me to where I needed to go and made sure it stayed fun. Thailand is filled with great attractions. UME blew away my expectations and even more!! I highly recommend them to all women travelers whether you’re alone or in a group. I’m already planning my next trip with them :)

"The UME guys are the best"

The UME guys are the best. We had such an amazing time after booking our trip through them. We travelled to Thailand in June. By we, I mean, me, my wife, my toddler and my parents. This was more like a take grandpa grandma out kind of trip. So we wanted everything to be perfect. I told the UME guys about it. Trust me guys, I just paid, that’s it. Rest everything was done by them and done so well.

Since we were visiting Thailand for the first time, and maybe the last, we wanted to see it all. We had 10 days. We saw middle and northern Thailand and Phuket. My parents loved the temples of Ayutthaya and all the Buddhist temples we visited all across. So much peace you get when you visit a Buddhist temple, isn’t it? We saw a Thai cultural show and loved it. It was so colourful.

My folks loved the elephant nature park we visited. We have never seen something like this. The elephants were not tied to anything, they were free, roaming around us. My toddler screamed in joy when an elephant tapped her head with its trunk. The elephants are very friendly too. We cooked there with the locals and had the local food. It was spicy but was sooooo goood!

All in all, a memorable trip. I am grateful to the UME guys for taking care of my parents so well. They loved the trip so much

"Awesome Trip in Thailand"

We are just back from our honeymoon and we think we owe this review to the rocking UME Travels
team. We got married this fall and carried on to our honeymoon. We visited Thailand, Cambodia and
Vietnam. Here are some of the glimpses of what we did:
- In Thailand we visited Phuket and Krabi islands. From Phuket we went to Phi Phi island too.
- In Cambodia, we visited Siem Reap and did an exhaustive tour of Anchor Wat
- In Vietnam we visited Ha noi and Ha Long Bay
- We got welcome kits which had local sims and city maps. The sims were very helpful for contacting
the guide, especially when we got lost in the crowd in Anchor Wat.
- We got fresh bottles of water and cold towels each day
- The hotels were nice and as per the requirements we gave
- All the guides spoke good English. We did not have any problem communicating.
- The guides were very helpful and were available 24 X 7. But we didn’t have to call them beyond
working hours anyways.
- Our flight was delayed once. The guide got the info before hand and let us relax in the room rather
than making us wait at the airport.
- Our travel itinerary was very flexible. We wanted to take a day off in Thailand and just relax by the
beach. They let us :)

"Thialand Trip with UME Travel"

My parents are devout Hindus. Recently, I found out that Anchor Wat is the largest Hindu temple
complex in the world. So with my first year salary, I planned a trip for them to Anchor Wat. Since they
were going alone, I was concerned about their safety. Although they are Indians by birth, they have
been in the US for too long. So was concerned how will they cope up. Chanced upon UME Travels
over the net and was impressed with their tours. Contacted them and got an instantaneous reply
from this lady called Eva. She was so reassuring since the beginning. Even before catching the plane,
we were happy to be travelling through them. We went to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. The hotels
were well chosen and senior citizen friendly. Our guides in both the places were locals. So helped us a
lot. Got a lot of insights into the history of Cambodia and the life of a Cambodian commoner. They
also told us about interesting eateries as per our taste. My parents did not have any problem with
food. Our guide in Siem Reap was very understanding. He took time to show us around in Anchor Wat
and did not rush. That way we could complete the temple as per my parent’s satisfaction. My mother
had a bad cramp in her leg in the middle of the night, I contacted our guide. He came at night to give
us an ointment which helped her. They even sent us a confidential form after we came back to get
our feedback. We only had good things to say to them actually :) Highly recommended.

"Awesome experience with UME Travel"

Just back from a trip to Cambodia 6 day trip to Cambodia with UME Travels. Here is our experience in short:

Found them very professional. The advisor Phoebe who planned the itinerary helped us a lot.
Was received at the airport and given welcome kits. Welcome kits had a sim card which I found to be a great personal touch.
Hotels were well selected and definitely as per our choice. Good job with understanding the customer requirements.
The guide for the temple tour was knowledgeable. He spoke good English too. Didn’t have any problem understanding the history and geometry of the structure.
Thoughtfully gave a bottle of water and a cool towel each day at morning before leaving for the day. Was very helpful in the scorching heat.
The guides in both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh were very helpful and were available even at night over phone.
Both the guides were local. So got good insight into the city and the life of the Cambodian people.
They also took us to exclusive eateries where we gorged on delicious Cambodian food
The guides were such professional that they knew the exact places from where pictures come the best. Thanks to them I have lots and lots of profile pic for fb now :)
Drivers were courteous and very safe. Did not drive rashly even once.

All in all a good and memorable trip. Thanks to them. Do recommend.

"I am back from a solo trip to Vietnam …"

I am back from a solo trip to Vietnam and Thailand and want to share my experience. I contacted the team at UME when I had planned the trip and found them so courteous and helpful. Originally I wanted to do Vietnam only. I had about a month with me. But they wanted me to include Thailand as well. So I trusted them. And thank God I did. My co-ordinator Phoebe was so sweet. Being a solo woman traveller, I had concerns. She assured me there is nothing to worry about made sure I was well taken care of everywhere. I got private car in each place and a private guide who showed me around. The guides were available 24 X 7 and spoke both the local language and English. When I reached, they gave me a welcome kit containing a sim and a city map. They also gave me complementary water bottles and cool towel each day. Spent 10 days in Vietnam and visited Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong delta - Da Nang - Hoi An - Hanoi - Halong Bay. In Thailand I went to Bangkok - Chiang Mai - Surat Thani - Khao Sok. Khao Sok will always be etched in my mind. The elephants roam around free. I took pics with the elephant and also participated in elephant bathing. I camped in the jungle in the national park and there was a floating house too. I did not face a single problem throughout the trip. I saw the countries, the way I wanted to see them and enjoyed myself a lot.
