"This company is a front for fraud"

This company is a front for fraud. They kept blackmailing me for more money which I gave them. I lost all my possessions except 5 pieces of furniture, all my household items, and all my clothing. I am seeking an attorney now to litigate this for me.. they don't even operate under their amerisafe name. They used a haul truck with two men who barely spoke english. Each time they came to my apt, they demanded more cash. On the 3rd trip they finally took some boxes. I had 20 boxes but they only delivered 6. Then they began demanding more money to deliver the items to my apt in Ohio. When I asked where my clothes were, he said I told them I didn't want them. Why would someone moving from SC to OH not want her clothes?. I am also missing my sweepers and 3 wall clocks.

Amerisafe is a company that will lie to you and tell you that your belongings will be delivered by a certain date, then you sign a contract that is many pages long. Unless you hire a lawyer to read the contract, you don’t realize that they will turn your belongings over to a company, of their choosing, that may never actually deliver them. When you call them to intervene and help you, they tell you they have no responsibility and you need to contact the mover directly. They are basically a company who takes your money and then washes their hands of you. Awful, do not ever use them.

"Avoid Amerisafe for Your Move. A Costly and Stressful Experience"

Amerisafe is a broker that contracts with other companies and is not an actual moving company. While the initial quote from Amerisafe may seem reasonable, be cautious it is misleading and can change significantly. In my case, the cost nearly doubled from $5,200 to $7,200 when the movers arrived and found reasons to increase the price.
Customer service from both Amerisafe and their contracted movers is poor. Amerisafe abandons customers when contacted about price increases or damage to belongings.
It was the worst experience I had. If you value a smooth, reliable move, I strongly urge you not to use Amerisafe you will regret it. I am sharing this review to help others avoid the terrible experience I had.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. Amerisafe is a broker that contracts with other companies that then actually do your move. And, the company that picks up your things may not be the same company that delivers them to your new location. When you first talk to Amerisafe and get a quote, don't be fooled by what might sound like a reasonable price. When the movers come to pick up your things, they find reasons to increase the price. My cost almost doubled from $3200 to $6100. The customer service is poor from both Amerisafe and the companies they contract with to do the move. Amerisafe does not want to hear any concerns about what is not going right. I moved from FL to NY and it took a week after I had driven the entire way myself for the delivery truck to show up. And, when it did arrive, it was just the driver. He said that they were sending other men to help, but nobody ever came. So, the driver did the entire delivery himself and he was at my place for about 7-8 hours. He was difficult to communicate with due to a language barrier and would not remove any of the packing materials that he removed from the furniture after he brought it in. I had to get rid of his garbage myself. Also, he did not want to put together things that had been taken apart by the movers that picked up my things. Amerisafe advises customers to call them if anything goes wrong during the move. However, when I called to express my concerns and ask for assistance, they said they would call the movers and get back to me. Sometimes thay did not even call me back, and, when they did, they could not provide any resolution.This has been a real nightmare. If you want a good move, I deplore you not to use Amerisafe. You will be sorry if you do. I am writing this review because I don't want others to go through the terrible experience that I did.

Worst moving experience ever. This company gave so much false information. They underestimated our move by $9000 they are a third party mover so when the actual moving company shows up (and when the company shows up you cannot cancel) it was an additional $5000 to load our items. Then when they came to deliver our items it was an additional $4000. This move went from $17,000 to $26,000. It was like paying to get your stuff stolen and then held for ransom until you pay. This is the moving experience people warn you about and it just happened to us by hiring this company.

They neatly arranged for the moving and did their best in the specifics. Guarantee of perfection, they have by default. Lastly, when we finally get our new house and our packing has started, they showed up on time and did a good work to ensure that everything is properly boxed and loaded. It was amazing how they behaved like elves in caring for the delicate things and you were just sure that everything had been carefully wrapped up and secured. Throughout the process, they were in communication with cifra and they have been also been available to sort out any concerns that may have arisen. Whether I move to another room or to a new place, thanks to AmeriSafe Moving Services, I will no longer get stressed or find myself in trouble as the transition is now a hassle-free affair.
