"Be carefull with VAT/import duties!!"
Found a very nice deal for Amundsen Peak Panther skipants. The online deal stated 294 GPB + 24 GPB delivery cost to NL. So I ordered. I’m happy with the pants but I had to pay and incremental 150 Euros VAT and import tax because I live in the Netherland!!! Apparently the listprice on the website is excl VAT. Which is strange for a consumer site. It doesn’t really mentions whether VAT is included or excluded. If I had known, I wouldn’t have bought it. Snowtrax needs to inform international customers clearly about this. I did call customer service and their answer was that “they haven’t had any complaints” about it..nice.

"They took my money for an online item…"
They took my money for an online item which 3 days later they announced they did not have in stock. They like to excuse themselves by claiming a 'technical' problem, but that does not cut it - the errors is either in their incompetent management of their stock or IT system or human error. They were "too busy" too offer me an alternative product. I gave them the second star because I did get my refund in the timeframe promised

"We've been twice now and both times…"
We've been twice now and both times have been excellent. The first time was for new boots which were expertly selected and fitted. The second time was for a boot tweak, to add custom insoles and to have a helmet fitted for another family member. Can't fault the competence and knowledge from both Paul and Nici, and everyone we saw was friendly and helpful. Will return for all things snow related. Worth driving an hour each way.

"I cannot recommend Snowtrax enough"
I cannot recommend Snowtrax enough. I was looking for some new skis for this season and came across their online store. They had a number of pairs of skis extremely competitively priced, so I gave them a call to ask a few questions.
I spoke with Nick, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and he went above and beyond to help guide me to the skis most suited to me, and even took the time to not only photograph a particular colour of binding on the skis he had recommended to me and send that photo over in an email, but also to get opinion from two other members of staff for good measure.
I was already impressed, but after emailing me first thing the next morning to ask for measurements to fit the bindings, the skis then arrived the following day. This is without doubt the best service I have received point blank.

"Charged me for an item they did not have in stock and now I'm still waiting for a refund"
Ordered and paid for an item online. After I had placed the order Snowtrax contacted me to tell me the item wasn't in stock. I asked for a refund, 1 week goes by and I still haven't received my refund so I contact Snowtrax who tell me 'for some reason the system did not fully process the refund' and the refund has now been 'manually processed' and I need to continue waiting. So in a nut shell, they were extremely quick to take my money and sell me an item they did not have and now expect me to wait weeks for a refund.
There are much better shops online, selling the same items and providing a good service to their customers, spend your money with them.

Don't normally write reviews but having looked on here prior to placing an order with Snowtrax I was a bit sceptical. However, I can say that I had a completely positive experience. I ordered a ski bag and it pretty much arrived the next day, I received tracking updates etc. and Snowtrax offer super good deals too. Would highly recommend. Have also ordered some poles from here too, no trouble at all. Thanks so much :-)

"Advertise products they don’t have"
Clicked on an add for snowboard boots, chose size, width and paid only to get an email to say there was an error by the web company and what I ordered was not available . Seems a bit of a con to try and get me to pay more for an alternative, so I cancelled. First and last time I have tried to use this company, will stick to to my regular company now

"Went to buy ski boots on 12th January…"
Went to buy ski boots on 12th January 2023. Offered only one boot as was told they were low on stock. Paid £90 extra for gold fitting. At the time checked internet prices which were vastly lower. They did not price match but offered 10% discount on the boots which I bought. Boots very uncomfortable after ski trip and went back on 1st February to have boots adjusted. Went on ski trip late February and boots even more uncomfortable. After 4 days so uncomfortable causing sore feet so took boots to ski shop in morzine only to find to everyones amazement the inners were put into wrong boots (Left in right boot and right in left boot). Emailed manager on 3rd March but no suprise there has been no reply. Not such a good boot lab gold service they advertise.

"Awful customer experience"
I visited Snowtrax with my husband and waited for 20 mins before we were attended to… even then we were told that Nick was the person we needed to see for some skis. Unfortunately the member of staff was not friendly and condescending, after waiting for another 10 mins we left. As nobody came to serve us.
This was disappointing as we like to support local businesses but felt unwelcome and that customer service was not a priority
