Unfortunately, my experience with transferring my account from its current custodian was riddled with errors on Alto's part. The electronically-generated transfer form was sent to the wrong address, no solution was provided for fixing the problem, inaccurate timing projections were provided, I was charged incorrect amounts of fees, I was guided about the wrong day to invest in a fund, having needed to overnight a check for a workaround solution, Alto only located the overnighted check four days after it arrived at their company, and a litany of other minor details were missed. At the end, once my issues became escalated, everything worked out with my investment; however, I invested many hours of personal time in assuring that this process was done correctly and did not have confidence that Alto did their part of the job. The supervisory manager did give me assurance that things would be handled well going forward, however, this volume of errors is difficult to overcome as far as my confidence in the company's professional execution is concerned.
