"Good all-round"

Expensive, but really good communication, prompt and helpful. Installation staff could be a little more friendly and aware of their surroundings to make the installation process better and to match the cost of the service. Felt a bit awkward in my own home at times. It was nice to receive a follow up email

"James and the team are very good!"

I found James and his team late in the game of my large build project. Importantly by recommendation.

We'd been given some eye watering quotes and some very detailed options that ranged from Control4 over the whole house to a custom system mixed with Sonos. I work in IT and even I was confused.

Working with James we got to a simple but (in his words - elegant - system) Its not too heavy handed - It's Control4 for TV's and Sonos for sound. Playing to each systems strength. He and the team worked really well with the build team at Residential refurbishments - who made sure that James had what they needed - when they said they needed it - and James team did the same = which is always key with lots of moving parts.

James convinced me not to shirk on the garden - I didn't and of course now I'm delighted with that aspect. (I was tempted as it was getting to the straw that might break the camels back ..)

The system works well, there have been a few teething bits, as you should expect (just had a failed part yesterday which is on warranty) but James has led the support from the front with his team, answering calls after hours and in weekends.

I like the support process - but not that keen on being locked into a support contract (my old school IT mind-set) but they are good and responsive, which wins the day! And you have options - which are fair, and affordable.

Finally, if James doesn't know the answer or tech your'e suggesting they will do their homework and suggest an amend or say - yes that will work, or no I wouldn't do that. They also solve stuff that's not them - I had a challenge with my internet provider and quite frankly I wasn't getting anywhere but James dug in and really solved that challenge with his team and Virgin.

I recommend them highly - honest - straight up and genuinely challenge at the right places. 5 stars.

"Great service"

Our fairly comprehensive system was installed several years ago. Homeplay have consistently given us a friendly and effective back up service. In my view this is almost as important as the original installation. On occasions this might involve a home visit but more often a quick call - always answered (even out of hours I must be honest). They have given me clear, simple instructions and these have resulted in successful resolution of issues immediately. I find this service very reassuring. Highly recommend.

In terms of excellence in home technology then Homeplay are the company to deal with. Not only do they do an amazing job at the installation stage they also have a second to none support system which
continues way after they have left the building. All employees are professional and personable and know all there is to know about their chosen field. They never cease to amaze us and we feel very comfortable in their very capable hands. We have an superb system of Sonos, Lutron and Nest and Ring products and the comms cupboard alone is highly impressive. We would have no reservations whatsoever recommending this company. James, Tom and the rest of the team far exceeded our expectations.
