We will soon be forced to take legal action against Travelcation for the thousands of dollars lost due to Travelcation’s mistakes.
We were initially pressured to write a “glowing review” when we purchased our tickets, so I’m assuming most of these 5 star reviews are fabricated. We were also threatened to not post an honest review or they would withhold our refund.
My husband and I had booked two flight tickets with Travelcation totaling over $4000 for our 3-week honeymoon. We had confirmed the details over the phone with Travelcation before our flight, but once we got to the airport to check-in, the airline said that TRAVELCATION INCORRECTLY ENTERED OUR DETAILS, therefore they would not let us board our flights.
Even the customer service rep at the check-in counter at the airport was shocked & said that Travelcation was completely INCOMPETENT and that she would make sure to warn others not to book with them.
When we called Travelcation, we had to wait on hold for over an hour before someone picked up from. We were then told that they were unable to fix the problem for us, so our only option was to purchase new last minute tickets for $10,000 each PER PERSON to the same destination. Yes, you heard that price correctly. & no, they were not willing to honor the original price we paid.
This happened over 7 months ago and we STILL have not received a full refund for our flights. We have also lost THOUSANDS of dollars in connecting flights, non-refundable hotel bookings, excursions, etc.
We have repeatedly called them every other day ever since December 2022, but keep getting told that someone from their team would call us back, which we never receive. My husband calling again today to simply inquire about the refund and the agent hung up on him THREE times.
What was supposed to be one of the most beautiful moments in our lives, turned into one of the worst nightmares we’ve ever experienced. We did not get to go on our honeymoon and have now lost several thousands of dollars on top, due to Travelcation’s mistake.
To add - Travelcation refused to reimburse us for our losses and Chris Morris (Travel agent from Travelcation Toronto) told us to FRAUDULENTLY claim a “medical emergency” for all of our connecting flights and non-refundable hotels, since he said that Travelcation does not want to take responsibility for this.
If this review can help someone else avoid a nightmare similar to ours, that’s all I can ask for.

"1- i could not change my reservation…"
1- i could not change my reservation after i booked with them. should of booked with airline directly.
2-flight was cancelled due to winter storm. i called them to get alternative, for next 8 hours they were insisting i missed the flight( and the flight was not cancelled). so i called airline directly and thankfully was rebooked.
3- i tried to modify departure from my sun destination to make up for the day i lots due to storm.
4- the travelction was useless and not helpful at all.and after all they offer me a new booking for one way which was more expensive than my original booking both way

The entire experience with Travelcation was not great and I will not be booking through them again.
I was super fortunate to have the assistance of my last support agent, Ethan, who resolved all my issues the night before my early morning flight. If not for him, I would have not been able to travel home.
Cause of the issue... AirCanada did not receive payment and the ticket needed to be re-issued. I count myself fortunate to be able to board tomorrow. Thanks Ethan!!
