"Nottingham City Roomzz: I have stayed at the Stratford Roomzzz…"
Nottingham City Roomzz: I have stayed at the Stratford Roomzzz many times and it has been consistently awesome. I was expecting the same at Nottingham City. I was disappointed. I had booked a large studio with an extra bed for myself because I was sharing it with two other people. When I arrived no extra bed had been provided. At the end of a very long day and the hottest day of the year I ended up booking a second room because there was no one left in housekeeping and the desk clerk did not know when they would be able to put up the bed because everyone in housekeeping had gone home. It was 9 o'clock at night and I did not want to have to wait to go to bed. That was bad enough but what was worse was the black mould that was in the shower of the room that I stayed in -room 417- I have videoed the shower and am happy to share with management the video so they can see how bad the infestation in that room is. My daughter and son -in law also reported the same in the neighbouring room. Black mould and an unpleasant smell. At the end of what had been an awesome day - my daughter's graduation- our experience was tainted by having to spend an extra £109 on a room due to incompetence. How hard is it to put up the spare bed you charged an extra £10 pounds for? Then to add insult to injury sleep in rooms that smell of mould and dampness. A final observation - given this is a chain I was shocked how cheap looking the furnishings and fittings were in Nottingham City compared to Stratford. The reason I make this observation is that I booked with Nottingham City Roomzzz without checking reviews because Stratford is always so reliable. If I had checked I would have maybe thought twice because I notice a number of similar reviews. In short, I feel Nottingham City needs to take time and address its issues with mould when we are still in a pandemic before it does harm to the reputation of a very good chain.

"Fab would go back"
Stayed 2 nights at Newcastle city site. 6 minute walk from the main tran station. Good value, roomy, clean and at a similar or lower price than nearby hotels. Very friendly receptionist (from Durham).

"Simply excellent"
Excellent location. Room was gorgeous and had everything you would expect. Bed was super comfy which was lovely. Super friendly and helpful staff who looked genuinely happy to be there. Location was super handy with everything being close by. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to book a break.

"5 star service from Tracy"
I visited Roomzzz Aparthotel yesterday to make a delivery and I was assited by an amazing lady named Tracy. I wasn't a guest at Roomzzz but she was so warm, kind and welcoming. She went out her way to assist me and to she epitomizes what great customer service is. Not only was she helpful to me, I was so impressed with how kind and courteous she was with other customers who visited the reception when I was there. Tracy is an asset and I hope she gets recognition for her amazing customer service. I was so impressed with her service that I've booked a weekend getaway at Roomzzz to experience a weekend away in York!

"Don't stay here"
Don't stay here, they don't care about their customers at all. I was supposed to go to the UK at the beginning of the year to study, unfortunately I couldn't go due to the pandemic. Covid numbers were high and flights were cancelled. I have reached out to them several times to ask for a refund, I have spoken to so many people and all of them were incredibly rude, impolite and inflexible. I couldn't get any of my money back. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

"VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH LACK OF CLEANING"
ROOMZZZ YORK
We booked up for a 2 night stay after this had been recommended to us as being really fabulous, staff on arrival were great and the location is good too, ( we were aware of the works along Terry Avenue for the flood defences) however what really grinds my gears with anywhere is when I’ve paid really good money and then find the accommodation itself is not up to the cleanliness standards one would expect for the high price paid, we paid for an upgrade to have a balcony and paid another upgrade for a river view too, however the balcony view was mainly trees and the balcony itself was filthy ( we’d wished we’d just booked a room with one of the glass verandas as they looked much nicer) but the sticking point was all the cobwebs in the main living area lighting, boy the spiders having a fantastic party inside of that!, we also had to complain twice at reception, firstly for the complimentary toiletries (attached to the walls) some of the bottles were empty, secondly the housekeeping decided that when they cleaned (I use the term very loosely) our room, they’d whip away some of our towels (despite the fact we’d hung them up to dry and hadn’t requested clean ones) so again we had to go to reception to ask for more towels, the rug definitely hadn’t seen a Hoover and where there was loose hair from myself upstairs and off my hairbrush downstairs had certainly not been hoovered up as that was there from night one, we’d say at best they cleaned the sink and made our bed and that was it.
All in all to pay well over £400 for 2 nights and arrive to a dirty balcony with a very poor view and for the housekeeping staff not to take their roles seriously, for us was a huge let down, having worked in hospitality myself in previous years, I’m aware of how housekeeping works and management in charge of them who should also be checking their standards of work before guests arrive, this would help to avoid reviews such as mine from happening.
We’ve stayed at lesser priced places of big named chains in York and had way cleaner rooms, where the staff go above and beyond their job role.
So, in essence Roomzzz, you need to either sack your housekeeping staff and start again or send them on a huge training course to learn the art of cleaning, (I’m sure Mrs Hinch would oblige )
Feeling financially robbed, never again

"Many thanks to Jennie"
We had to change a booking due to an event being cancelled because of Covid, and Jennie from the reservations team was brilliant with helping us change the date of our stay.

"Great value stay in Newcastle City Cente"
Stayed in a Smart Studio. The promotion I booked in with allowed early check-in and a little hamper full of goodies with I was very pleased with. Room was a good size, you can screen share from your phone to the tv which is great but a little fiddly to set up. clean plates and cutlery provided. Pots and Pans also which we didnt use. Microwave ant stove also there. Just great as you don't have to eat out constantly or order in. Would 100% stay again

"Loved it."
Spacious, clean and tidy. Big bathroom and plenty of space for lounging. The staff were lovely and the complimentary breakfast is a nice perk - a hot chocolate and a Danish pastry is a great start to a day of exploring. Wouldn't hesitate to return!
