"Be warned !!!"

Agree with previous comment about them being utterly useless!! Had my first quarterly VAT return, sent all information as agreed then two weeks later I got a ‘reminder’ about my Vat return. Contacted my accountant (Amar) and he asks me how and where did I sent it, after it was himself I dealt with and sent all the information to!!
Had my Vat return sent to me yesterday which wrong. Despite having all invoices, sales summary, etc. they calculated my quarterly sales way above these actually were. This of course meant my due VAT (according to them) was several thousands of pounds higher than I actually charged.
Be aware, stay way clear of them unless you dont mind paying for service you dont get, get overcharged and pay penalties from HMRC for wrong / late returns!!

"Utterly Useless"

I had the misfortune to use these people, someone called Nadeem was the person assigned to my account. When preparing my accounts for my quarterly VAT return I explained that I did not want to link my bank account to their portal because I didn't trust it and was promptly told that it was Clever Accounts who shouldn't trust me.

Every single call arranged with them, they were late and was told on one occasion 'well I can't just drop the call that I'm on to answer you', despite the fact I had received an email stating an exact time that I would be called at.

So, I've moved on to a better accountants now, though I had to laugh when I received the email stating 'we have closed your accounts' 3 days after the payment for this month. Best avoided.

Clever Accounts - The best accountancy firm I had to work with. The best Accountant - Matthew Horsman! Highly recommend! I opened LTD through them. Matthew was one of the best accountants I have ever worked. He is very prompt with his response, solution. He helped to understand all the process and how expenses, salary payments, dividends work. He did all my tax. He thoroughly helped me each time I had any questions! I am a Very happy customer! He is helping also with the closing LTD process.
