"Best Birthday Ever"

Best Birthday Ever!
What can I say? Whilst the Spitfire Experience is obviously not a cheap day out, it was one of the most exciting things I have done for many years, and certainly the best birthday preset....ever. The staff are extremely passionate about what they do, and by that I mean from the Pilots through to the Receptionists.
The workshop is a thing to behold as well, and the effort taken to not only keep these magnificent planes in working order but to also restore aircraft that appear beyond repair is fantastic.
The flight itself was incredible, and getting to fly the a Spitfire for 5 mins (seemed like 25!) was an incredible privilege to say the least. The extra expense of the chase plane for the family to fly along side me to share the experience made the day even more special, and should not be overlooked if you can stretch to it.
Sincere thanks to all at Biggin Hill, and especially to Peter, my pilot!

Fantastic experience will never forget it . Very friendly and professional people make you feel special from the word go . My pilot Smithy is a great guy put me completely at ease and made sure I enjoyed the flight from start to finish .He let me have control of the Spitfire for about half an hour all told . Incredible!!

"We had a fantastic day out for my dad's…"

We had a fantastic day out for my dad's 70th birthday as the family had pooled together to get him a flight in a spitfire. We had a bit of trouble at first finding the heritage hangar but our pilot drove past us and showed us the way.

The place was extremely professional and the day ran exactly as described in the pre-flight information. My dad watched a safety video and had instructions and then went up with the pilot, who was absolutely lovely and encouraging. He took the controls at one point and did a victory roll. At the end my dad got a certificate, videos of the flight, a framed picture and a few keepsakes. Truly brilliant and he will remember it forever.

The team at Biggin Hill are simply wonderful, and take the Spitfire experience to another level, if that's possible. Thank you (pilot) Smithy for bringing my dream home to roost, and thank you to all the ground staff and team for treating us like VIP's. My head has not yet come down to earth.

"Cracking time with Fly a Spitfire"

I flew out to Dover with Don. My wife came part way in the air taxi to join and take some movies on her I-pad. The trip was surreal especially doing a barrel roll over Dover harbour. If you can afford it do this longest flight. Also really enjoyed the Heritage Hanger.

It's nice and low key with the whole team and for me it was an unforgettable experience.

One of the best days of my life.it didnt start to well as very windy on the saturday and sunday was even worse as was gale force wind and rain but the staff at biggin hill decided to open on monday weather permitting.and there day off.well i cannot praise the staff and ron my pilot enough.ron was brilliant also i got to release my fathers ashes over beachy head.it was the most perfect day very clear.and ron was very informative of all the places on the ground an absolutly perfect day.i would do it all again.THANKS TO YOU ALL AT BIGGIN HILL.ROD.

"The ultimate flying experience"

If I could give 6, or more, stars I would. For anyone with one iota of interest in WW2 or aviation this has to be one of the ultimate experiences. To fly in the most iconic of aeroplanes in the same piece of sky that saw so much action nearly 80 years ago is truly out of this world.
Although my flight was 3rd time lucky due to weather the team were polite, friendly and accommodating - oh that all companies treated their customers thus !
The included hangar tour was most informative giving an insight into the valuable work that is carried out here keeping these old warbirds flying
No, its not cheap, but maintaining this beautiful machine cannot be done on a shoestring.
