There is no other software for your business that can beat BrightPearl... It is user friendly, can cope with everything you could throw at it... and should you find a problem then the support team are amazing, quick and efficient - problem solved.

Brightpearl connects to most of the major eccommerce systems including Magento, Amazon and Ebay, and so allows us to handle all of our accounts in one place.

One of the most important aspects of this is that the stock levels are synchronized over all the systems, so there is no need to worry about manually updating one system if you sell items elsewhere.

Brightpearl has recently had lots of investment in improving the page load times and stability of the system. There are a number of things on the development list that we're keen to see added to the functionality, but none of them are deal-breakers.

Brightpearl help us to ease our day to day transaction as they provide one stop shop from accounting, inventory to single independent app that customizes and fits our business preference. It also help us generate quickly the data needed for the reporting. I am recommending to try this and see for yourself how convenient and powerful the software is.

"False promises and very slow development"

We've now been using Brightpearl for exactly a year. It was promised as the product that could do anything but it's full of features that just don't work properly. On paper, it offers a lot. However, the features you're told about on their website and by the sales team either don't work properly or are still being developing and lack crucial elements.
The integrated accounting module doesn't link properly with Paypal or Ebay so unless you want to spend hours manually adjusting and inputting every transaction, it's just not viable to use it. We still run [external reference] alongside Brightpearl because of this. This has been raised in brightpearl's feedback forum but we've been told that it's "not a priority."
The orders that come in cannot be trusted. About 1 in every hundred orders we receive is duplicated. We've reported it as a bug- no fix 6 months after. When we first signed up, the addresses kept coming in from Ebay incorrectly. Brightpearl didn't even see this as a problem and when it was fixed they called it "a great new feature". Their workaround beforehand was being told we'd have to manually check every address against the sale record on Ebay.
Also, there's no reporting features at all. No way of seeing stock sales in the past month or anything similar. Everything has to be exported to Excel and then manipulated by yourself.
The workflows are just very poorly thought out. Brightpearl stores customer details with the only unique attribute being an email address. Good idea, but you can't search for a customer by email! You can only search by name. This is also a problem if an ebay customer sends you a message. Unless they sign off with their full name, you've only got the ebay username to work with which isn't searchable either. Another example is the purchase order screen. You can filter the huge list of purchase orders by date, payment method, who raised the order etc, but you can't filter it by supplier! It's just so poorly put together.
Brightpearl needs a lot of work and basic functions need completing. It offers integrated accounting, ebay listing and paypal sync but none of these features are complete or work properly.
In summary- great on paper, appalling in practice.

I have been using Brighpearl over 1 year now. Very good Magento, Ebay and Amazon integrations. Dynamic stock control and order processing + useful accounting package. Very user friendly UI, it doesn't take long to learn how to use Brightpearl. I love the fact that they update the software every couple of weeks and its not just small updates which is great. By far the best platform I've used.
