The electrician who came was polite, did a good job and was content to stay around until I was satisfied with the job. He also answered my questions fully.

I assumed that my power outage was a local issue but by the time neighbours came to my assistance it was clear there was a problem linked to the Solar system. Despite it being 7pm on Friday evening I had helpful responses from EMS and an electrician was dispatched for his 90 minute journey to sort the issue! This he did with good grace and a full explanation. All done by 9.45pm. Grateful thanks!

"This is my second review"

This is my second review.
I was astonished to have a call from EMS (lady in Romford) saying they had an appointment to see my elderly friend but were ringing me to ensure I knew as her attorney. I had already made it clear (as had my friend separately) that this cold-calling was unwelcome. The lady insisted I had been present at a meeting in 2023 about the solar panels. I was not and have only been in contact with them in 2024. Very odd but I found it unsettling that they were still in pursuit. My friend later confirmed that when they had just called her, she referred them on to me. She is vulnerable and they know it!
Update 15/4. I have seen the EMS response regarding my 1st review. It does contain factual inaccuracy. I would merely comment that I am both James and Andrew, and that I know nothing of any competitor alleged. I am a semi-retired teacher seeking to put a review on Trust Pilot to ensure others have a picture of my experiences with EMS. There are reviews that demonstrate similarity to mine. There are those that do not. Readers are encouraged to read and assess what weight to place on each. My immediate aim is to protect the 87-year old lady for whom so am attorney. So I would repeat to EMS that any further contact is unwanted.
Footnote. My review has been considered by Trust Pilot and they consider it complies with their guidelines despite EMS’s protestations.

The team arrived as promised and set about doing the job immediately. They explained clearly what they would be doing, and worked very efficiently and their work was very clean. Once completed, they set about linking me to thye software to enable me to moinitor the efficiency of the system they had just installed. I shall now be able to monitor how efficient the solar panels and the batteries really are, I want to save money from this investment.

Appointment kept on time.
Our electrician was polite and made sure that we understood WHAT he was doing and WHY.
He then cleaned up all waste and mess.
A pleasure to have in our house.

"EMS Trade have been maintaining my…"

EMS Trade have been maintaining my solar panel system for the past 4 years. They come out every year to do a health check on them. I initially got in contact with them after I had an issue with my system and learning that my original company were no longer around I needed the problem resolved. The chap Ricky who came round to fix it was more than helpful and its still Ricky who comes around every year to do the health check which I like as he now knows my system inside out. After 4 years of service with them I cant say a bad word about them and have recommended them to a couple of friends . I used them initially as they had been in the business for a number of years and they must be doing something right for them to still be around today.

Yesterday I discovered my 86 year old friend had fixed an appointment for a solar panel inspection. They had rung her and told her it was due to her supplier having gone into liquidation. I spoke to Lewis at EMS and he broadly confirmed that. I cancelled the appointment and provisionally gave an alternative time so I could be present as her attorney. Lewis gave his name as Parker then changed it to something like Parkside, a rather odd name.
His colleague rang today to confirm the appointment. He did not demur when I said I had spoken to Lewis Parker. He was evasive when I asked for his own name, and also when I asked how and why my elderly friend had been contacted. He eventually hung up as I probed further.
Lewis Parker is the name of the last reviewer in February! A glowing 5 star review. It rather gives credit to the assertion in Marty's review that they include self-serving pieces. I agree with Marty’s conclusion.
A few months ago my elderly friend was swindled out of >£3,500 by ‘workmen’ who rang her and arranged to come and inspect her solar panels. Their conclusion was that the inverter needed replacing, and signed her up late that afternoon after taking card payments. They were ever so helpful - they returned the next day at 8 am and the job was efficiently done in less than half an hour! No cooling-off period.
A local expert (validated by gov.uk and trading standards) advised that even if the inverter needed replacing and was then the price should have been £1500. Considerably less than the price paid by a vulnerable elderly lady.
Let me make it clear that I am not saying EMS were the actual ones responsible. But where did they get her contact details from? And is it a coincidence that they are both into solar panels?
I have texted ‘Lewis’ and the unnamed one from EMS to stay away. If they try again, I shall call the police.
Please do read the reviews of 19th July 23 and 13th and 25th Jan 23. They should assist in deciding how you should respond if you are contacted by EMS.
If you are persuaded to proceed with them, do not agree any works suggested before you secure two additional quotes from reputable local businesses. If the person concerned is elderly/infirm [potentially malleable due to a kind nature], I advise against even considering this company.

Had my solar panels fitted and am very pleased with the swift efficient service, the guys that came and fitted them were great , very nice , great company to go with .

Tried to scam my elderly parents out of £3000 for totally unnecessary work on their solar panels. Said they needed cleaning, resurfacing and a new inverter, this was after charging them £1200 18 months earlier for cleaning and resurfacing. I told them where to go, it's nonsense, the panels are working fine. Stop fleecing the elderly!
