"Skip Other Agencies & Collect $200 "

The app places Cultural Care leagues ahead of other Au pair agencies. It’s new, so you need to be patient, but from finding your Au pair, to your first face time, and payment - it’s all done in the app! No more going back and forth between your agency login, email, and WhatsApp to track au pair communications. We were in a timing pinch, but their systems made everything seamless. The local LCC cares for only several families in the immediate area. Our LCC turned out to be a former au pair too! This compared to one LCC for the entire city will make a big difference in ongoing support for us and our au pair. I feel empowered and knowledgable thanks to staff follow up and online courses (taken through the app). It seems my matched au pair is undergoing significant, in-person course work to prepare to care for our 4 babies in her home country too. We found a young woman who seems to be the perfect fit! She speaks 4 languages and is keeping in touch with us at every corner! I’m super impressed. 10/10 would do it again with Cultural Care. Oh! Did I mention you only pay 1/3 of your total agency fee upon matching?? They offer a payment plan for the rest and have a very reasonable refund policy in case things don’t work out. Yatzee!!

"A great game"

I had never attended a basketball game before, I found it very impressive and fun how they played and how people got excited about everything that happened, the best thing about the night were the mascots and the free throw I was able to make thanks to Cultural Care🥹🫶🏽

Gracias Cultural Care.

"Review:Cultural Care Au Pair: A Profound Lack of Transparency and Accountability"

My experience with Cultural Care Au Pair has been deeply disappointing. As a parent, ensuring the safety and well-being of my three-year-old child is my highest priority, and this agency has failed to provide the transparency and support necessary during the au pair selection process.

1. Violation of Legal Obligations: Despite being provided with a court-ordered parentage agreement requiring mutual consent for caregiving decisions, the agency facilitated the hiring process without my inclusion. This disregard for legal requirements undermines my role as a co-parent.

2. Denial of Essential Information: I have repeatedly requested access to the au pair’s background check, references, and other critical documentation. It is unacceptable that I remain uninformed about the individual who will live with my child. The agency has cited vague privacy laws but offered no actionable solutions.

3. Unilateral Decisions: The au pair (Tim) was hired unilaterally by my co-parent without my knowledge or consent. Cultural Care Au Pair enabled this process, disregarding the legal stipulation for mutual agreement.

4. Lack of Communication and Support: When I sought guidance on accessing the au pair’s information, I received no clear instructions or meaningful assistance. This lack of communication has only added to an already stressful situation.

5. Unacceptable Delays: With the au pair set to begin on January 6th, the agency has yet to provide critical documentation or a resolution. This disregard for urgency leaves me unable to verify the au pair’s qualifications or suitability.

Cultural Care Au Pair’s actions reflect a blatant lack of transparency, accountability, and respect for legal and co-parenting complexities. For any parent considering this agency, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Trust is non-negotiable when it comes to your child’s care, and this agency has failed to deliver.

*** Cultural Care attempted to have this review hidden and removed, claiming that I fabricated everything. However, I submitted numerous email chains, communications, and my stipulated judgment with the state of California as evidence. Trustpilot reviewed the documentation and determined that my review was valid, allowing it to be published. ***

"Unorganized Au Pair Company That Needs a Lot of Work"

I would not recommend Cultural Care for host families or au pairs. It's very unorganized and the training they provide to au pairs is so minimal. They don't properly share expectations of what au pair life will be like childcare wise. The helpers (LCC) they have working with you are part time and really don't care that much and don't follow the Cultural Care procedures when unexpected things happen.

We matched with an au pair 6 months ahead of when we'd need childcare to start for our infant son. We set up a whole floor in our house for her, were in constant communication etc. We paid $10,000 ahead of our au pair arriving. Our au pair also had to pay a lot to be able to come here. Our au pair gets here and seems bewildered that she can't stay in her routine that she had at home because she's watching an infant. Just no sense of what it's like to be a caretaker even though she was 'infant qualified' per the Cultural Care website.

We liked her as a person and were going to try and see if she got in the swing of things. She lasts only one week before telling the LCC that she wants to move to a family with older kids, even though she knew for 6 months she'd be with a baby. Per Cultural Care's rules you're supposed to set up a meeting all together to try and work things out, but the LCC told her to go ahead and try to find a new family. So now as a new mom I am out of childcare after spending months setting up my house for this person to join our family and paying $10,000. You can 'rematch' with another au pair and see the reasons why they want to rematch. They are almost all delinquents. Or, you can wait 6+ weeks to get an au pair from out of the country. They only gave us a 40% refund on the $10,000 because we didn't want to find another au pair after our terrible experience.

Our au pair didn't fully understand what would happen when she asked for a rematch. She only had two weeks to find a new family or be deported. She was deported and missed her trip to New York that she'd booked. Really poor experience for both of us.

"Cultural Care was awful "

We are a veteran host family with Cultural Care and we had an awful experience with our last au pair. The LCC assigned to us didn’t investigate things at all and we suddenly lost our childcare. We paid for the full year but because our au pair left after only 5 months, we’ll be getting a refund for only 30% of the original amount, meaning we lost thousands of dollars. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

"They are a mess"

They are a mess. They wasted months of our time and kept trying to get us Au Pairs that were rejected by other families. It is like hot potato with this company, but instead of a potato, it is a bad apple. Run away from this service. The other one is vastly more professional (and same price).
