Voy a contar mi experiencia como au pair, primero que todo no es como todo lo que te venden…
Segundo, a la au pair le exigen mucho, nos hicieron hacer clases online de cómo cuidar niños etc, cosa que lo veo normal pero deberían hacer lo mismo con los host family de como ser buenos host por que algunos vaya tema.
Fui para Estados Unidos unos 7 meses cuando en teoría tenía que quedarme 1 año, que pasa?
Que la casa no estaba en condiciones y me sentía explotada, trabajando 9h al día y aveces más, cobrando muy muy mal que no diría que eso es un sueldo, y pidiéndome trabajo extra tipo cuidar a sus perros cuando yo soy una niñera y no cuido perros, ni me pagaban extra por eso, claro, se aprovechaban de la situación por que no les podía decir que no, ya que vivo en el mismo techo y te da vergüenza decirles que no.
A todo esto no tenía ni habitación y dormía en el sótano que es el cuarto de juegos de los niños, vaya fatal, mi intimidad no existía.
La familia que me tocó no muy educados, ya que en mis tiempos de descanso no respetaban, y hacían muchísimo ruido cuando sabían que yo estaba descansando, vaya una pesadilla.
A todo esto no quise cambiar de familia por que me fui con un trauma increíble, y decidí volver a España y comprándome yo mi billete.
A todo esto deberían hacer un control a todas las familias y no solo a las niñeras que vamos allí a vivir una experiencia "increíble".
No recomiendo esta agencia, hay mejores.

Every step of the way I had support from my local representative and matching specialists. They made me feel comfortable reaching out to them via text or phone call at any time. I loved forming relationships with them too as well as the au pair my family matched with. I highly recommend this program to others interested in hosting an au pair in their home.
