"A cozy location"

It is a lovely place, very particularly furnished, i.e. a very peculiar combination which creates a cozy atmosphere. And it is a very good spot for starting daily jouneys to the many fabulous places in the Cotswolds.

"Beautiful Other House"

The Other House was a brilliant location for a little mini-moon following our wedding!

Had all the amenities required, and was in a stunning location! The host was brilliant and rapid at responding!

"Extremely dangerous property and unacceptable customer service"

We experienced a life-threatening safety issue at a bolthole property and they have so far reacted far below the level needed to ensure the safety of future guests. I can’t believe this, but they rented us a property where you could not get out of the main entrance from the inside. The keys to other exits had also been swapped so it was almost impossible to get out. Creepy and dangerous. It was also extremely dirty and there were 3 European hornets in the property. When we complained, they said that the property “has met all fire regulations as necessary” which was 100% not true when we visited. Very disappointing issue and response from bolthole. Do not expect their properties to hold up to a high standard and do not expect an adequate response when they fall short.

"The property was opposite a building…"

The property was opposite a building site - covered in scaffolding with up to 8 builders vans outside and machinery! We were not told ahead of booking and had to check out early due to the constant noise and builders dust everywhere. Our complaint has been ignored by Bolthole Retreats who said it was not their problem as its "outside" the property. A summer holiday completely ruined as well as a lot of money lost - do not book with them!!!!

"Quaint and beautiful "

Location perfect, everything lovely and clean, had absolutely everything you could need , beautiful place,with it's own private garden, car parking was a real plus, the reason for only 4 stars was the toilet seat moved when you sat, also the shower was good and powerful but looked a bit tatty around the bottom and appeared to be seeping on to the floor, having said all this....It would not stop me from booking again

"We had the best time ever!"

We had the best time ever!
We had the most beautiful time at Kington Grange with our 8 grandchildren. The house and grounds were a garden of delights with a marvellous swimming lake with paddle boards, a hot tub, a tennis court, geese to feed and lovely gardens and grounds. The children were active in it all from dawn to dusk and so happy with so much to do. The house too is beautiful, full of interest and comfort and it just swallowed our party of 13 up with space to be together and also to find tranquility when needed. Our hosts Susan and Phil could not have been kinder and more helpful, both before our visit and during our stay. We couldn't recommend this Bolthole stay more highly - it has something for everyone and more! Culture, class, adventure and comfort. We will return! Thank you Susan and Phil (and Fin plus 2!) for making our stay so special.

This was indeed the best experience of holiday accommodation, location and complete relaxation! From booking through to arrival, everything was straightforward. As soon as we walked into the property we felt at home and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Really beautiful property with everything we needed and more! Found the automated lighting system a bit of a pain but other than that we really loved being there and was a great base for our adventures in Warwickshire.

Special mention to housekeeping who were so wonderfully accommodating and not imposing, we really appreciated them!
