After blowing a seal hitting a pothole, I thought I was going to be properly in the sh!t, seeing as my aftermarket suspension retails close to a grand 🫣
Anyway, I priced up a new replacement (just for the rear shock)... £720 😲 minimum!
I eventually ended up landing at Performance Parts Ltd, the UK distributor for Hyperpro suspension. (they're a Dutch company)
Turns out I can send them my shock, and it will be sent home to the Netherlands, be fully serviced and refurbished, then sent back to me, all in for the princely sum of £150 plus parts! (that includes all the carriage costs!)
I gingerly sent it off, fully expecting to be stung with a parts invoice for a few hundred quid on top, bare in mind the shock is 5 years and 50,000 miles old at least!
Anyway, long story short, it'll be back with me Monday if not tomorrow, for not a penny more than the quoted £150 😛!

Anyone thinking about upgrading their bike suspension, you won't go far wrong with Hyperpro! Handling is spot on, it's nice looking, high quality gear, and a thoroughly good bunch!

Not in stock? Don’t order, I first ordered a part for my motorbike on 29th feb 2024, I was told there was a lead time, but I didn’t mind waiting as I’d had contact with the manufacturer of the part who are in Germany, and it was in stock, I had various contact with performance parts over the next 10 weeks, with varying success, I decided in the end to cancel the order, I then received an email on 16th May telling me the part had arrived, and was I still interested, I was about to order the part from the manufacturer themselves and swallowing the customs charges because they said they would deliver within a week, but, decided to order from performance parts again, I was told that they would try to dispatch the item that day (Thursday 16th May) for next day delivery, but they might not be able to do it in time, but it would definitely go out Friday (17th May) for Monday 20th May delivery, I then received an email saying the part had been dispatched Friday for the Monday, no tracking number? I decided to send an email asking for tracking because well, let’s say I was dubious, I ended up phoning them on the day to ask for tracking and was fobbed off saying they would respond by email, they did 2 hours after I phoned saying the part had not been dispatched, no reason, just that it would be dispatched today (Monday 20th) I sent another email asking why I had been told it had been dispatched when it hadn’t and was told “the warehouse were busy”
If I hadn’t had phoned I wouldn’t have known and would have waited in all day for a delivery that was never coming, the contempt for the customer here is bewildering, more and more British company’s are acting as if they are doing you a favour selling you something, it’s not the fact that they didn’t send it, and lied saying they had it’s the contempt of thinking it’s ok, I was eventually going to buy more parts to complete my motorcycle, but not from this company, I swallow the customs charges and order from the manufacturer.

"Unilaterally back out of the sales contract"
I have placed Order for crash bar, credit card payment done, received an official order confirmation from them via email. Shortly after Performance Part informed me it is out of stock and needed extra shipment. They unilaterally cancelled my order without my consent. Their Sales Advisor claimed there is no contract in place since they rejected my order and refund my payment. It seems that they did not recognize their own order confirmation email as order acceptance.
