The lad I spoke to was very reasonable.He said if we needed to make a claim,he would assist with a repair straight away.And allow us time to find our receipts.
This was reassuring.

Been insured with this company for 3 years to cover 7 kitchen appliances. Initially advised them all items were 11 years old. Was advised of Any Age cover and of Like for Like replacement, so went ahead. Called to report washer dryer problem. Within 24 hours was told washer dryer was written off, no mention of sending an engineer. Offered 3 replacements, not anywhere near the spec of current washer dryer. In addition, their contribution to any of these low spec replacements was 20%, our contribution 80%. If we chose our own replacement (had to be from AO.com) their contribution would be just £73. We asked whether, if our 6 remaining items produced faults, would these all be written off and cheap replacements offered, at 20% contribution from them. Was told it was all in the small print! Asked if we could cancel our policy, paid Nov 23, £320 for the year (which we could have put towards a decent spec replacement washer dryer). Was told no.

Insurance is not worth taking out with this company if your items are over 9 years old as £73 contribution on £700 replacement item is unacceptable. Feel completely let down and hoodwinked when starting our policy as we weren't told the full facts - when insuring older items there would only be a small monetary contribution by them. Now worried that when our 6 other aging appliances inevitably stop working, the company will just write them off, and we are going to have to fork out thousands of pounds to replace. So much for insurance. Would at the very least ask to be able to cancel year's contract and be refunded the 10 months remaining so we can put that towards a new washer dryer, will be more than the pitiful £73 awarded by them

Intermittent issue with gas boiler became quite problematic, DAG were apologetic that the issue took more than one visit to resolve and sent a Baxi specialist to ensure the task was completed. Quite impressed by the contact and help provided. Excellent value cover,.
Staff were brilliant.

On contacting DAG, after the security and conversation with their representative, I was then told that a claim form would be sent. That just put work on the claimant I felt. The form came through. I started completing. They wanted to know my machine serial number, date purchased, cost and model... really?? They would have had that info! Then, in a paragraph, it explained that any excess eould be paid in advance. So I phoned DAG to see if I had excess? She couldn't tell me because it'd be disclosed to me once contacted by the company who would book and, process the claim! Bizarre!! However,the lady who did contact me to book the repair, was courteous, efficient, patient and professional.
