Norton Windows

"It’s the second time I’ve used Norton…"
It’s the second time I’ve used Norton Windows. This time they replaced a bay window. It was a difficult job . Both Kev and Steve did an excellent job . The new window is superb. They were both professional and friendly. They worked very hard with great attention to detail. I would definitely recommend.

"Highly recommend!"
After months of pondering to get a new conservatory warm roof I was put off the idea when I had companies around taking 4 hrs to give me a crazy price for my new roof, thankfully my aunt had a conservatory built from scratch off the guys at Norton Windows a number of years ago and highly recommended them, after a quick call Kevin came around gave me no crap and gave me a price which was nearly half the price of other companies, I had no hesitation in giving them the green light and wow did they not disappoint, from start to finish communication, dates, times was always punctual, thankfully I listened to my aunt and boy am I grateful to these guys, thanks Kev, Steve, Paul, the plasterer and sparkly which I forgot there names , will be having yous lads back to upgrade my windows.

"They won't put things right "
I would post photos if I could but Guardian conservatory roof and leaking box gutter were obvious after 2-3 years with condensation and leaks causing staining. GRP flat roof on kitchen extension also found to have failed within a similar amount of time. They don't want to know and I have been left with a worse situation than before they came, have to get the work put right - and am seriously out of pocket as a result. AND they've tried to get this review removed! They are (to quote their own favourite word) "100%" responsible for carrying out the work, regardless of them wanting to avoid a negative review. They arrived wearing polo shirts with the Norton Windows name and logo - no mistake there!
A word of caution too: for all those getting Guardian and other tiled roofs on conservatories, be very careful. Building control are fining glazing companies nationwide for these installations, including Alpine Windows, if they come across them whilst the work is being undertaken. Many individual companies are therefore dissolving.
Response to Norton Windows - as far as I am concerned you did the work. Richard Pearson of Britannia Home Improvements (EY) Ltd insists that, as Kevin Rogan of Norton Windows was paid for the work (with my money, which I think is very relevant), then Norton Windows are responsible for the quality of the work. Kevin Rogan did come back, purportedly to rectify the GRP roof, and thereby pay lip service to Richard Pearson's instruction to return, but do you seriously think that just laying another layer of GRP on top of the failed GRP is a reasonable repair? I was promised by Kevin Rogan that he would cut out the failed GRP and replace it (as I have detailed to Norton Windows by email). He promised to send me photos of the work he was doing as it progressed, as a compromise for him to get on with the work if I authorised him to come onto my property during my absence at work. He did not do this either. Big mistake on my part to trust him. This agreement was made between myself and Kevin Rogan, Director of Norton Windows. He failed to do what he promised, he was paid to do the work and I think I am therefore well within my rights to post this objective review about the workmanship and attitude I have been subjected to. Additionally, it was Kevin Rogan who "condemned" my original GRP roof - and therefore got the work to replace it whilst telling me I needed a box gutter for my conservatory. Richard Pearson's view is that, as Kevin Rogan was paid (with my money) to do the job, it is Kevin Rogan who should fix it. Regardless of my broken trust due to Kevin Rogan's broken promises. Norton Windows are now objecting to my review because it is Britannia Home Improvements issue (yet they did the work). I've been treated like a ping pong ball for the past year between the two companies whilst they have had my money and I am left with a mess. THAT is what is NOT fair.
Until I advised you this week that I had discovered that what Kevin Rogan did in August last year by way of rectifying the failing roof was to just put another layer of GRP on top of the GRP work from 2020, you yourselves had written in an email sent on 08/12/24 saying that "we are happy to resolve any issues we feel we are responsible for". Now I've told you I know what Kevin Rogan did, you are trying to distance yourselves from the work. And I got nowhere at all with the leaking box gutter, conservatory ceiling covered with stains from condensation and then the old piece of gutter that has nowhere to drain near the join of the conservatory with the main roof. More of the work Norton Windows undertook.
Given Britannia promises a skilled workforce and a stress-free experience, when the work done by Norton Windows failed to deliver both of these, I had hoped I was dealing with a professional company that would be keen to show I was wrong and would put their work right in a civilised and, with any luck, apologetic manner:

"New Front Door and Canopy."
I contacted Kevin to have a new front door and canopy fitted. Kevin was very polite and helpful. From the day of ordering to fitting was exactly three weeks. The fitters Paul and Steven arrived exactly on time and their craftsman ship is excellent. They made a perfect job and left no rubbish and cleaned up after all the work was completed. An excellent company and we highly recommend Norton Windows for new windows/doors etc. Fantastic value too!

"New Guardian Warm Roof"
We chose Norton Windows to supply and fit a new Guardian Warm Roof on our 15 year old conservatory, replacing the original polycarbonate roof. We signed our contract on 25 September and had the roof completed on 26 October - far quicker than we had expected. From start to finish Norton Windows were excellent. As promised, they had the old roof off and the new one on in the first day and then worked to complete the fitting. The amount of insulation we saw going into the new roof leaves us in no doubt that the conservatory will now become a more usable space for more of the year. Previously it was too cold over the autumn and winter months for much of the time. The electricians and plasterers were sub-contracted by Norton Windows and were also excellent, turning up on the due days and also doing excellent work. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or to use them again in the future.

Would highly recommend them. Just goes to show that your local company can beat the National ones hands down in value, cost & service
