"Maxview Mobile Satellite"

Last week I had occasion to return my Sky Q satellite box to Maxview for a reset after my failed attempt at updating it.

I posted it to them on the 1st of November. They received it on the 2nd of November and by the 4th of November it was back with me and installed in the van fully working.

I would like to commend Maxview on this remarkably efficient service.

"Great customer service"

Great customer service. Our router had a fault when it arrived and Vicky was super helpful over the phone to resolve the issue successfully. It was great to be able to call back and speak with the same person throughout the problem solving. The antenna works well and we have had great signal so far in Pyrenees and Alps. The phone app to view the router activity can be a little slow sometimes (due to updates made on the router software which Maxview then adapt to, I believe).

"I cannot speak highly enough of this…"

I cannot speak highly enough of this company they are so helpful over the phone and the service they provide when dealing with any fault is the best.
Great company great service they have sorted all of my issues out of the last 4 years would not buy any other product.

"Maxview seeker 85cm…"

In May 2013 I had a Maxview seeker 85cm automatic dish fitted to the roof of my new motorhome. I had an issue after 4 years when the LNB went faulty. It was replaced free of charge even though the system was well out of warranty.

A few years ago, I updated the 2nd LNB using a kit provided by Maxview, to enable me to use Sky Q. Which is just brilliant as I tour Europe and love to take Sky with me. I have found that all channels are available until you cross the Pyrenees when you lose the likes of BBC/ITV etc, but all the premium Sky channels are still there and the vast majority of the other like Gold/Discovery etc.

Over the years, Sky have changed how they transmit their “locator” beam which is how systems like mine auto find the satellite. Each time, Maxview are all over it and send out new firmware to keep things on track. This is the reason I have decided now write this review….Stuck in Spain with the satellite not locking on on 12th Sept, I daw on the website Sky had changed things around again. I contacted Vicky at Maxview (who is brilliant by the way having dealt with her previously) and the matter was sorted in five minutes.

The bottom line is this, the company is probably the best I have ever dealt with. My British made satellite system is still going strong over 10 years after it was fitted, having survived 72,000 miles of the worse roads the UK & Europe could throw at it.

I wholeheartedly recommend this company and their products to you.

"Great customer service."

I inherited the Maxview system when I purchased my motorhome and I have been using it for two years trouble free. Last week it went offline so I contacted customer service who answered the phone in just a few rings and the operator talked me through downloading an update and installing it. All good. It's so rare to get this level of service. Thank you.

"I recently purchased the Maxview Roam X…"

I recently purchased the Maxview Roam X from a company in Germany (not available in France where I live).
However, when it came I was missing the roof clamp.

I called the company in Germany and they asked that I send photos of the contents of the box in order to receive a roof clamp.

I decided to call Maxview in the UK after the fitter suggested it. I called and to my surprise not a problem, they would ship me the part at no cost to myself.

It arrived this morning a few days after the call.

"MAXVIEW POOR QUALITY PRODUCT & DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE."

I bought a Maxview Roam X & having only used it three times the SIM1 card slot has disintegrated. As it is less than a year old, I returned the unit for repair only to be told it can not be repaired & the issue was caused by user error. This is simply not true! I have inserted cards into both SIM1 & SIM2 slots with no problems with slot 2. I am always extremely careful when inserting or removing SIM cards from any of my equipment & haven't had any issues with any other items I use. On inspection, the SIM card holders are very delicate plastic sliders which simply collapse through normal use. The delicate unit was returned via courier in a basic Jiffy bag giving very little protection & I have yet to plug it in to see if any transit damage has occurred. Fingers crossed there. I am now stuck with a router with only one slot that works & wondering how long before the remaining slot breaks leaving me with a useless piece of rubbish. This is extremely bad after care service from Maxview, I'm extremely disappointed & would advise any potential customers to avoid this product. It is a shame Maxview don't stand by their product & carry out warranty repairs as they should.
