"Avoid this company at all costs"
Avoid this company. I booked the end of tenancy clean with handy cleaners and have had the worst experience. Firstly they did not clean the house to estate agent standards- there were marks left in the bathroom, dirt and dust on the carpet (when we specifically paid extra for a deep carpet clean), hair left in the sink etc. When we asked for a reclean (this comes as part of the package) the team arrived and had a very bad attitude- they ended up shouting at myself and my partner in another language and then packed up and drove off without finishing the job or giving an explanation. My partner and I ended up cleaning the whole rest of the house frantically before the estate agent came back to do the check out again. The check out report stated that the house had not been professionally cleaned despite paying over £178 for the service. I have since tried multiple times to get in contact with handy cleaners but have had no response, my emails remain unanswered and ignored. This company is very unprofessional, unreliable and to be avoided at all costs.

"Don't use if you need cleaning for a specific time/day"
I would never recommend this to anyone who needs a cleaner in a timely fashion (aka, cleaner for Airbnb before guests arrive if you aren't there). I only decided to use Handy because Airbnb used to use them so I figure they are pros at doing cleanings in between Airbnb guests if you aren't there to clean yourself. But the way Handy works is not compatible. Your place will only be cleaned if there is a cleaner in the area (who is not employed by Handy) who will pick up your request. Kind of like Uber. However, if no one picks up your request, Handy tells you a false excuse like "there was a last minute cancellation" (it was never assigned in the first place to be cancelled) and your reservation is rescheduled for the next day. As you can imagine... if you are using their cleaning services for Airbnb guests, there is no option to reschedule as your guests will have already arrived. Of course, this happened to me and it was rescheduled for the next day, which of course doesn't work. I had very nice Airbnb guests who were ok with this and said they would be ok with the cleaning coming the next day after they arrived. Then the next day... same thing... "there was a last minute cancellation" for the cleaning, aka, no one ever was assigned. oh and it was rescheduled for 4 days later?!!? Is that a joke?!?!?
Luckily the second person I worked with in customer service understood my situation and refunded the entire amount (I didn't ask them, I basically told them to do this) and I was given 10 GBP in credits, which of course I will never use.
Bottom line, do not use Handy if you need a cleaning service done for a certain time and a certain day. In the end, I had to hire emergency cleaners in London which cost me 40 quid and a bad Airbnb review, which any Airbnb host can understand is extremely harmful!

"The worst service ever"
A cleaner came to my place, cleaned for 2 hours and said she didn't know what else to clean but we should pay for 3 hours. The first time in my life that a cleaner does not know what to do, she kept standing while my husband though of possible tasks for her.
After sending her away, they told me when I called that I could not get the hour I paid without service and what I should do is prepare a list of tasks for her.
two learnings here:
- They don't give a damn about customer satisfaction
- They have incompetent cleaners
