After dozens of calls during our contract stage as soon as we signed our contract they missed out onboarding meeting and have never been able to agree to a new date but then turns around and cancels our contract before we have ever used the service. not only did they cancel the contract but charged our credit card thousands of dollars for a service we did not utilize

Ive been in business for almost 20 years and been using Lavu for almost 6 years, and it is by far the best POS Ive ever had.
Its so easy to set up, so easy to learn to use that it that makes our business run smoothly.

"TOTAL DISASTER! Lavu is NOT ready for prime time!"
Lavu has been a very difficult situation to get operating correctly. Their IT technicians, although helpful over the phone support, are working through many problems with the software application and there are many problems and "glitches" that must be addressed daily.
The onboarding technician was dispatched from a third-party and it was a two (2) week delay - not to mention, any add-on or upgrade equipment you will need will also be a two (2) week wait - and, knowing what I know now, I would have gone with the Aloha or Toast systems!
I have asked for our issues to be expedited, yet many problems persist with calculations of state sales taxes, state alcohol tax calculations, overtime computations and other crucial reports that are required for any business entity of size. My current sales projections are approximately $3.5 million per year and would be higher if so much of my time, and that of my manager's time, was not devoted to solving Lavu software glitches, tax calculation issues, connectivity and server problems. We should be working on marketing issues, not constantly handling Lavu POS issues.
Lastly, the kitchen display system crashes all of the time because Lavu's corporate staff failed to advise us that their cloud-based storage solution is totally dependent upon 100% fiber optic internet connectivity! You really need an in-house on location computer server to access your own data and to send order tickets directly to your kitchen so that your back of house does not crash literally once an hour.
That's a disaster described herein above that no large business owner needs or is prepared to handle on a daily basis. I have thirty-five years of experience running successful businesses - do not make the same error that I did based on a low-cost POS such as Lavu!
If you are considering a POS system, go with a well-known quality system!

DONT GET THIS POS SYSTEM!! Trust me when I say this, all of the other people who said its great then leave the company because of scammers. It has happened to many of us. First of all, we got there POS system - Horrible, very hard to use, and finally bad software and there applications are bad. The whole thing to set it up took more than a month! And trust me that's 3 hours per day for me. I don't work slow but the software is bad and not trustable. Once you set it up, THE PRICE INCREASES AND THEY TAKE MORE MONEY! We have a new POS system which I recommend called Revi you pay about 30 dollars a month. Our total bill for one day to give to lavu was an outrageous 200 dollars. Why? Because they cheated us and scammed us. Within 5 months I changed, canceling was hard to do and that alone took us a while because it was so hard to contact them. Finally, when done canceling, they charged us more which made us stop using our bank account and make a new one. ( I can't stop canceling the payment because of their contract ). We placed a return order for the Ipads, and they didn't care so we kept the Ipads. 3 months later... The Ipads cost 2400 together - 4 ipads.
We paid half of that so they have to unlock 1 of those iPads/ because of the contract. I chatted with them which took a while because there wasn't anyone replying to me. Finally, one of them replied.
2 days later they said they wanted all of the Ipads back. Now wait a minute I am supposed to keep one of them because of the contract. WELL NO! THESE SCAMMERS WANT EVERYTHING! I tell them that I would give the Ipads back but only 3 of them and not one because I paid for it and the contract says Its mine. They never did unlock it. AND NOW THEY WANT EVERYTHING THAT WE BOUGHT FROM THEIR STORE! EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT IT AND THE CONTRACT SAYS I OWN THEM. At this point, I am keeping one of the iPads and giving the others back to them. This is not stealing just so everyone knows because I own it. And now its locked in there system. And they want it back. THey think I am a ghost I try explaining then they say we are gonna return it. I AM DONE!
LAVU if you read this, just so you know I own one of the iPads because of the fair payment I made and you guys are scammers and greedy people. I am not saying I wont give it to you, but I am also saying to stop with this!

worst company ever, They dont care and have no customer service. NOT A GOOD COMPANY at all.
I canceled this service 2.5 months ago and keep getting money taken from my account for payment, this is not right at all, DO NOT SIGN up with these ppl.
