"What a difference from the start"

What a difference from the start. I guess I see why they pressed me for a review early in the process! Long story short, things didn't go as smoothly as they would have me believe. So after their first resubmission for my trademark application was rejected, I was told that it was normal. Then their second resubmission was returned with a final determination rejection. I've reached out to Ms. Quiana several times as to what their next steps are without a response. I have thus paid for a service that I have not received, as I now spent another $350 and am in a worse position than when I started. I understand that problems happen, but how companies handle problems is what separates the good companies from the bad. I would avoid this company if I were you!

The reason why I am giving them one star is because there is no fewer than that in the options. BIG SCAM They milked me, they took over $1000 over few periods of time and did not do nothing for me. They will tell you we have an attorney on record to file your trade mark, and you will get denied with NO ATTORNEY ON RECORD. READ OTHER REVIEWS for DIFFERENT PEOPLE and you decide!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!! They are horrible almost scam company. I wish I would have done more research. If they respond, all that they do is file paperwork. It's better go to uspto.gov and re-new /registration by yourself. Brian K Wood is worst a man. no communication and lazy, insane human!

"Do Not Use Them - Horrible Ongoing Experience"

Do not use this company. They are horrible. I wish I would have done more research. If they respond, all that they do is file paperwork. The evaluators from the government kept telling me certain things were missing and when I asked for clarification from the company for direction, the just say that they can't provide advice. The entire ordeal with them, $600 later, has gotten me nowhere.

"Trademark Company is a Fraud"

In April 2018, I paid $344 for a service that the Trademark Company never provided. They kept giving me the run-a-round. Earlier this year, I contacted the state General Attorney. Today, I received this letter:

Dear Consumer:
RE: The Trademark Company

We have written to The Trademark Company and have failed to receive a response.

Michigan law authorizes the Attorney General to provide legal opinions to state officials, members of the legislature, state departments and commissions, and, under certain circumstances, county prosecuting attorneys. The Attorney Generals Consumer Protection Division also acts as a mediator in consumer-related issues, however, if our mediation is not successful, we are unable to file suit on behalf of an individual.

If your complaint has not been resolved, we can only suggest you consider private litigation.

We are sorry that this office is unable to be of further assistance regarding this matter, however, the information you submitted will be retained in our files for future reference.

The company has not acquired the TM and they will not answer my emails for a status update. It has been a year.. They appear to collect the money and then ignore the customer.

"This service is not trustworthy. AVOID THEM LIKE IT IS THEY ARE PLAGUE!"

This service is not trustworthy. I contacted them in the summer of 2019 to renew my wordmark. I paid $500 and after checking the "filing" on TESS, the filing was never done. I contacted the company for a refund and they ignored me. Now, I was just contacted by Dawn E asking that I sign the paperwork that should have been done 1 1/2 years ago. The work has been done by a subsequent patent attorney here in New York.

"We've been using this company service…"

We've been using this company service.
They are very much irresponsible. After Paying their service, But nothing is done.
They even didn't response to any emails from us.
I called them many times but as always they did nothing on our cases.

"Theft and Con Artistry No Trademark Assistance"

Ian the So Called Customer Service slash Case Manager is a Con Artist and a Liar! His tactic is to get your money completely ignore you or any request that you will have about the process and then when you're sent the warning that if you don't file within a few days your trademark will be considered dead. At this point after several calls and emails they submitted the same exact thing that I originally submitted, which was denied due to confusion. if the original application was denied for confusion resubmitting the same exact will result in an instantaneous new denial! This is a complete scam! I will report them with the Better Business Bureau and make they're deceptive business practices known worldwide! Basically I paid for a service to be done nothing was done, that's called theft!

"Failed to Deliver"

UPDATE: Filed my original review back in 2020 without resolution. Today I received a notice that The Trademark Company believed my review was intended for a different company. I'm confident I have the correct company. I spoke with the owner, Matthew Swyers, who also failed to resolve this issue. Not surprising as Mr. Swyer has a tentative relationship with ethics. So much so that he resigned from practicing before the USPTO and gave up the ability to provide U.S. trademark-related legal services for a minimum of five (5) years. A simple search of his name will confirm this.
In October of 2019, we purchased the Platinum package for a trademark for our non-profit organization. To date, we have not received everything that was included in the package, namely the Library of Legal Forms. I have spoken to a number of account managers (Ian being the most recent) and customer service representatives who have all failed to resolve this. The package was paid for in full so we simply ask that the service and products be delivered in full.
