"We can definitely recommend Aquabathrooms"

We have just had 2 complete bathroom refits done with Aquabathrooms and we're so pleased with the results! Our fitters, Matt and Jack, we're brilliant throughout and nothing was too much bother for them, they worked so hard to get us the results we wanted. It was also great to have the support of the office team whenever we needed it. Thanks guys, couldn't be happier! We can definitely recommend Aquabathrooms!

Great job by Dan & Bradley, we're very pleased with our bathroom install. Would recommend them for anyone thinking of a new bathroom. All issues that invariably crop up during a project were dealt with professionally & to our complete satisfaction.

"Not the best experience"

Not entirely sure what to make of this lot,
The initial consultation with Mark around July seemed to go well, and he was quite swift, he made a few suggestions which seemed good.
Quote received, which was the identical cost to 2 other quotes I had received, this seemed a little unusual to me, as I work in construction and know that this usually doesn’t happen. At £1,505 per Sq.M for fitting only, this seemed expensive, but I wanted a professional finish so I went with it, paid initial deposit and was given a confirmed fitting date of December 9th.
2nd Deposit paid, then in September we were contacted, whilst on holiday, to say good news we have a fitting date for you of January, I was a little put out by this as date had previously been confirmed, Leigh at Aqua apologised and said December date was correct, I did joke with my partner that they probably wouldn’t turn up until January due to Covid, which is indeed what happened.
In the interim between booking there was some E-mail ping pong with regard to the underfloor heating which was on the quote as “Supply and fit” yet was then told they weren’t supplying, there were some other eccentricities with the quote that materialised later, ceiling lights were supplied, but under unit lighting wasn’t, in retrospect more clarity is required on quotations, with a clear schedule of rates and quantities.
So January the fitters arrive and make a good start, however informed me that the quote was wrong and that more tiling was required at additional cost. Strange that they didn’t knock anything off for the work that was listed but not carried out such as removal of existing floor tiles and patch repairs to floor and walls, I now have a floor that feels slightly spongy in a couple of place.
The electrician following on the 2nd day wiring in new lights, left dangling out of the ceiling, I noted that the lights supplied required holes around 6mm smaller than the existing holes in the ceiling, the fitters commented that the plasterer should sort that out
The plasterer was arranged to come in on the Saturday morning, texted to say he would be late then didn’t show at all and said he would be around Sunday, again he didn’t show, even when he said he was on his way. Finally he came around Monday night, happy to tell me that he was the best plasterer in the land, and that the fitters I had Eddie Boole and Rich were the best too, strange that the ceiling required a fair bit of sanding to remove ridges before décor, also the gap around the lights wasn’t resolved.
In the 2nd week I pointed out some snags to the fitters, including the fact that there was a loose wire hanging out the back of the thermostat, I assumed that this had been dealt with, until around 6 weeks later, when I could turn the heating on ( post drying time) to find no power, I was initially gutted as I thought there may be a problem with the whole install and the floor would have to come up, then remembered the loose wire, and yep they had just fitted the thermostat with the wire hanging out.
Works were completed on the 14th, I was rung by the fitters that morning chasing payment, the invoice had been sent out on the afternoon of the 13th. I hadn’t really had a chance to snag the install but paid, and forwarded a snag list to Leigh, none of the snags have been resolved by Aqua 2 months down the line. Although Leigh did contact me on the 21st of Feb to say that I hadn’t paid one of the tile flair invoices, turns out this was a duplicate

Snags included:
1) Unexplained damage to new window, which looked like someone had prised off the bead with a screwdriver.
2) As mentioned above, holes around the lights, which I have since resolved by fitting pattresses
3) Poor silicone mastic
4) Some areas with gaps which should have either grout or a mastic applied
5) A window sill that ponds water in the middle.
6) Rough cut edges to tiles that could have been resolved with grout.
7) Overlap of white and grey mastic looked messy
8) As mentioned above heating not wired properly before fitting
9) The wall adjacent to the door overhung the door frame, I had to get a joiner to resolve.
10) Discovered a chipped floor tile, which I managed to resolve with “magicezy” tile repair
Overall it’s a better job than I would have done, but at that price expected, but think some of the attention to detail is missing. I will not be using them for the upstairs en-suite and cannot recommend them to others

"Brilliant team!"

Eddie and Rich have not only installed our three bathrooms to a very high level, they were also a pleasure to have around the house for three weeks. It was more a case of them putting up with our family and pets rather than us putting up with them!

Thanks also for the great input on ideas around the design.

Nathan completed our bathroom last week. It is a work of art. All done to a very high standard. The tiling too is amazingly neat.
