Our experience with this company to plan our Ireland trip was excellent. From my initial inquiry after discovering it online, up to the day we left--all questions, materials and emails were promptly answered or received. The selection of places we stayed in Ireland met all our expectations, and were extremely nice. Owners of these individual places also voiced high regard for this company, and did not require vouchers or other verification .
We wanted to see Ireland on our own ( as opposed to tour bus trip), and this provided the perfect blend of that: on our own journey, with their support for securing all accomodations, car and useful travel information. Thank YOU Elaine!

I have used Discovering Ireland for the past two years, and I haven’t been disappointed! Customer service is excellent, and I didn’t have any issues with any of my bookings. The hotels and B&B’s that were on my tours were wonderful and near all the places I wanted to visit. I am taking a trip in 2020, and I will be using Discovering Ireland to help plan my trip! I feel the prices are competitive compared to other companies.

"Fantastic Vacation"

My daughter and I had an amazing trip. We decided to explore on our own and Stephanie helped us plan our trip. She even helped with some last minute changes. We really loved the B&B's. The owners couldn't have been nicer, especially Sean and Shelia! We received a customized itinerary with multiple suggestions so it really helped us plan our daily excursions. Highly recommend. We'll definitely be back with the rest of our family.

"The Wild Atlantic Way - May 2018"

We have travelled extensively in North America and whilst places such as Banff, Jasper, Yellowstone and Yosemite are hard to beat anywhere in the world, collectively in a week on the West Coast of Ireland the sites to see and places to visit are second to none, especially when the weather is as kind as we had.

Highlights were the Dingle Peninsular (we had previously been to the Ring of Kerry), Loop Head, Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, including Kylemore Abbey and a boat trip at Killary, Achille Island and finally Banratty Folk Park. I even found a fellow Watford fan running a pub in Westport - a really lovely and friendly town.

The Wild Atlantic Way was not just the name of the trip, but of a very thorough, easy-to-follow route. The signposts are brilliant and the key places to stop are well annotated.

We stayed in both 'bed and breakfast' and hotels and all were very welcoming and comfortable, with excellent breakfasts.

Definitely recommended to anyone who likes to travel around and see lovely countryside and scenery on a holiday.

"Trip of a lifetime."

My mom and I had been talking about taking a trip to Ireland for some time. I have been before and knew the best way to really experience the Island was to drive ourselves. I started to google self drive tours - Ireland and reviewed a few different sites. However, discovering Ireland was the only site that had 'packaged tours' that could be customizable. I was really impressed with all the different options available. I reached out by email to the company and within 24 hours heard back from Elaine. She became our tour representative. Elaine was amazing to work with. She understood right away what I wanted to, offered suggestions and helped us put together a dream trip. About a week after I finalized the trip, booking payment and all, I went back to Elaine to let her know 2 other friends wanted to join us. I'm sure it was a lot of work on her end, but it was seamless to us. She made the necessary changes and we got our friends squared away. I didn't think it could get easier.. but it did. Prior to our trip I received a 70 page itinerary, which mapped out driving options for each leg of our tour, PLUS recommended places to stop and visit and eat. This became our trip bible and we followed it to a T.. During our trip, one of the BnBs we were suppose to stay at had a flood.. unbeknownst to us.. Elaine took charge ,found us new accommodations, and forwarded the voucher before we even knew what happened. We are will so pleased with the trip. It really was amazing. What made it even more special was the incredible service we received by Elaine and her team at Discovering Ireland Vacations.

From the start, Maria took her time in answering all of my questions over a timeframe of about 10 months from when we first booked with her. She was a joy to work with and is an asset to Discovering Ireland Vacations!
