"Excellent Service"

Bought a £20,000 Mercedes from this dealership, I have to say they were much friendlier than the arrogant sales at Mercedes Dealerships, and a lot cheaper!! Great Company with a huge choice to buy from, will certainly return for my next purchase.

Purchased car May 2016 over phone.
Told car was as seen in Fiat Used car listings, unfortunately not the case.

Salesman (Richard) lied about the quality and state of the car. He advised all original and that the car had not been in an accident. This was important to me as I lost my mother in a road traffic accident few yrs ago. Research garage knew this.

Truth: vehicle - previously owned by a receptionist at Research garage (The driver who delivered the car knew her) had been in an accident. There was still a dent in the bumper scratch along one side. Bent bonnet and the paintwork and repair was substandard. I know this as I had driven the car to a reputable Fiat dealership next to their head office and the estimates manager had shared this with me in just 30 mins. He said he had been in the industry over 2 decades and the repair work would be difficult for a customer to see. A bit of paintwork from underneath fell into his hand.

Yellow brake calipers. Salesguy Richard said they were original yet after a while the paintwork would come away ! Fiat Slough laughed at this and showed me how they should look before advising me that the garage would of had them sprayed as they arrived from the factory plain grey. Now they look awful and are spotty. Other mechanical issues with the car. I wrote to Research about taking the car back after raising the issues. They were keen to sell me another fiat under finance.
I sought an independent engineer who confirmed the paintwork and the cars faults.
I passed all of this to Fiat who assured me they would deal with my complaint and take over.
They advised me who legally I need to report to.

Everything about buying this car from the sales transaction (9 incorrect sales invoices) to the car has been poor.

I have asked for my money back several times but the dealership have ignored all requests.

I am disgusted a dealer could sell a car in such condition and spray it to look like a much higher spec vehicle.

I am considering approaching Nuneatons local media and trading standards for cars to get my money back as I sold my lovely Mini Countryman to buy this Abarth and it has all been very upsetting.

Lost faith in the brand. Should have stuck to Mini they had the best sales / after sales and they don't make a habit of spraying brakes just to move sales from forecourts.

"Great sales, poor aftercare"

The sales team were fantastic and I was recommended to see these guys. Both my wife and I love our Italian cars so brought a new Alfa and Abarth, the manager and Matthew our sales guy were brilliant.

Sadly the aftercare has not been pleasant and tainted our view on whether to return to this dealership when it comes to changing our cars.

I had my service plan incorrectly setup which has been rectified.

An issue with my breaks that has yet to be resolved and I'm back for my second visit to fix the problem soon.

I've had to wait days for a quote on replacement parts, (not service related).

My wife vehicle has its own issue where it squeals in reverse or turning the wheel. They couldn't replicate the noise so cleaned breaks and left the garage had the noise all the way home so have to return the vehicle again.

Their tone and attitude isn't empathetic as I would feel after buying two new vehicles and paying for their servicing package for both cars they would be happy they have loyal customers and want to maintain their custom. I just don't feel cars that aren't yet a year old with 5000 miles that this is acceptable. My wife and I both left feeling maybe we are expecting too much.

"No pushy salesmen"

Never dealt with Research Garage before but expected the usual pushy sales techniques. Quite refreshed to have a helpful Salesman. We done a deal and my daughter now has a great car which has so far been very reliable.

"pleaure to deal with"

Was treated with respect no pushy sales people and so sorry can't remember the young ladys' name but she was very helpfull.I'm dissabled and she helped me a lot.Would certainly go back to see her for my next car in 3 years time(If I'm still around)will be 81 then.

"Friendly, outstanding service."

Research at Nuneaton found a car to suit my budget and gave me great advice on how to get more money for my old car. Jayne gave me all the information I needed and even put up with my driving when I test drove the one I chose. She even followed up afterwards with an email to see how I was getting on with my new Fiat Punto. Absolutely love the car and was really good value for money. I definately go back there again.

"great job"

Bought a 207 from research garage last year and took it back for yearly service and m o t .Got there at 8.30 and went for walkabout for the morning in Hinckley.got back at 1pm and car was all shiney and ready to go.All sorted and no problems found ,As a member of my Peugeot I had downloaded a couple of vouchers and with a very good price for the work walked away very happy.My other car is also a Peugeot and on the way I was treated will be taking it to research for its servicing in the future.

Research in Nuneaton are simply outstanding. The best customer service I've received in a long time! Justin in particular is absolutely phenomenal - incredibly professional, most helpful and really supportive. Helped me pick two brilliant little cars and has been looking after us ever since!
