Sean from New Home Surveying, carried out a very comprehensive survey of our 3-bed new-build home. From the outset the whole process was efficient, informative and extremely helpful. Sean was very pleasant, patient and painstaking, explaining issues as he progressed around our home, answering questions we put to him.
We had delayed having a survey done, but after encountering numerous defects ourselves, we realised that for peace of mind a professional survey was needed. A short time after Sean's arrival, we had no doubt that we had made the right decision and the cost would be well worthwhile.

Cannot recommend Sean and James at New Home Surveying highly enough. They surveyed our new home in Swindon and were extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
The report, which was sent within hours of the survey being completed, was very thorough and covered areas that I would of never been able to check myself, even with a background in construction.
They use specialist tools such as thermal imaging and drones to ensure all areas are covered.
The report includes a spreadsheet tracker, so has saved us a lot of time.
They explained defects as they went through our property, and recommended what should be done to resolve them.
Most importantly, they were very assuring throughout the process and kept our minds at ease.
We were dubious at whether we would need to get professionals in as we thought we could complete the snagging list ourselves, but are very happy we did as the report was way beyond our capabilities.

"Will easily make your money back"

James did our snagging, performed around 13 months after our completion, and he is a very friendly and trustworthy tradesman. He worked through our house explaining everything as he went along and what should usually be expected of a new build property. Having had the snagging done, we feel more justified in seeking improvements to our new build home and I'm confident that we will more than make our snagging cost back.

Would highly recommend to others thinking of having this done too. If anything, I'd suggest doing it early on - we thought leaving it later would be helpful in case anything came to light after a year of use, however James was so thorough that I think he likely would have spotted issues before any such deterioration occurred.
