I had a similar experience to the one posted below ā which I gather is left by some diligent consumer who is trying to safeguard our interests. I am sad I did not see it earlier but will be sure to forward this thread to relevant channels so this does not happen to others.
I placed my first order with whizz.ae for a new item on 25th March 2020 and on 27th March 2020 I get an email stating the item is āused ā in very good conditionā and if they should proceed with the order at full invoice price?
I informed the whizz.ae team that I will not pay full price for used item and insisted on a new one or failing that a discount on used item with disclaimer that it should be in working order, since they very conveniently included a clause towards the end of the email; āUsed items are non-returnable/refundableā which means that if the item does not work, they bare no responsibility once delivered.
Instead of offering an alternative course of action they simply cancelled my order with a āsorry for the frustration causedā and a complete copy paste of the ridiculous reason included in their reply to below post āThe prices are set by the suppliersā¦ā.
I can accept that mistakes happen but what I find UNACCEPTABLE, is that in the same email they mentioned āthe items condition is clearly displayed as USED on the item page that you placed the order please follow below link to the itemā essentially calling me a liar!!! A day after I placed my order, they changed the status to āusedā and increased the price from AED 2,700 to AED 3,027 (I have the screenshots) I stumbled on the updated listing as I restored my browsers.
It was clearly mentioned on the page that the item was NEW when I placed the order (I didnāt even know they sell used items until I saw the updated listing and was quite happy that I was lucky to get a new piece), and if the item was used and I placed an order why would they send me an email to double check and change price? They will probably respond to this post with some ridiculous story that we always do a check on used itemsā¦
Mind you by this time I lost the opportunity to buy the same item via eBay since I prefer supporting local vendors and stores (I consider giving back to the community as a prime responsibility).
In this great country we have consumer rights, in this case; āThe right of the consumer to know the correct information about the goods and servicesā. Know your rights!

"Terrible ordeal"
Terrible ordeal. I ordered and paid on their website with my credit card. I get an email the next day saying that the same product now has a price of double what I paid. So I can either pay double or cancel the order. This is after the transaction is complete and they have taken the money from my card and it would take 7 days to return the money.
After complaining, all I got was sorry for the inconvenience, we got the price wrong. I asked to speak to the supervisor but was not even given this chance.
So if you dont mind paying and then waiting for them to confirm if they actually have the product and at the same price you paid, then by all means go ahead and buy from them.
If this is not the case, and a genuine mistake was made then they should take responsibility for it and fix it, instead of just sending an email saying we apologise for the inconvenience..
Thanks for your reply, As I said, for me it is completely unacceptable for you to go ahead take payment then start to check prices and suppliers for stock. If that's how you work it, I would not be buying from you again. Other customers can decide for themselves if suits them.
Eventually receiving money back doesn't mean everything is ok. People dont like to waste time and energy for nothing especially if the things requested are urgent.

I have used Whizz several times, it is useful for obtaining items not available in the UAE. I have been quite satisfied until the last order was delayed twice. On the second delay, I requested to cancel the order which was unnecessarily difficult. To their credit, Whizz did eventually cancel after offering 50AED as compensation. I would not let this put me off using Whizz again.
